The house includes an open floor plan on the first floor with living/kitchen/dining, plus an office and bedroom that are privately used by the host. The 2nd floor includes 2 bedrooms and a shared hallway bath. The front porch is flower-filled and a wonderful respite for your morning coffee or tea. The backyard is quite large and sun-filled - perfect for lounging on warm weather days. Located near the Aquatic Gardens and Anacostia Riverwalk Trail. Common area spaces including the living, dining, kitchen, front porch and backyard are available for common use. Storage is available in the basement if needed. I am always available by text, and the live-in host is on-site and generally available at all times. We are in walking distance to the Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens, and the Anacostia Bike Trail entrance is 2 blocks away. Access to downtown by car-Metro-bus and the highway to get to MD and VA is very conveniently located. This house is located in the historic Eastland Gardens neighborhood of NE. Located conveniently off 295 and a 12 minute walk to the Minnesota Avenue Metro Station on the Orange Line, you can easily connect to points downtown in about 15-20 minutes. The neighborhood is known for older established homes, large yards, tree-lined streets, and easy access to the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail and Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens (where you can see the water lilies in full bloom in mid-summer). There is also an urgent care center in walking distance (near metro), and you can access several grocery stores with a 10-15 min car or bus ride (Whole Foods and Giant on H St, Safeway on Bennington Road, and Trader Joe’s on Florida Ave).
