The Carney Inn is located at 215 N. Detroit St., it was built in 1869 by Captain Harley Crocker. The Victorian home was restored by Estella and Rollin “Sam” Carney in 1991. This beautiful and historical home is located in downtown Lagrange and is within walking distance to local restaurants and shops, and only a block away from the beautiful Lagrange County courthouse. Just minutes away lies the town of Shipshewana, where one can find one of the largest Amish communities in the U.S. The space The home has three beautiful available rooms for your accommodation, each with a unique theme, and its own private bathroom. The home offers a nice kitchen with a spacious dinning area. A beautiful living room where one can merge into the history of the house. In this room you will find board games for you and your family to enjoy. In addition the house counts with sun room, a front porch, and back patio, feel free to enjoy all three areas. Other things to note House is located on a main state road IN-9, could be noisy at times. Yet very conveniently located between two other main highways I-90 and US-20 for easy access to other towns and cities nearby.
