Ride off into the old west at our world-famous historic Ranch built in the 1900s! The Gambler is a cozy little cabin nestled in the Colorado Rockies. From the moment you arrive on the Ranch you will feel a million miles away from the stress of every day life. The space This beautiful log cabin provides a cozy lodge feel with 1 queen bed, 1 bunk bed twins size, 1 full bathrooms., and Kitchenette. We do have a Hot plate /Counter Stove Double Burner, and a Mini Smart Oven. With 80 acres of private ranch land surrounding the Settler Cabin it will feel like you have the place to yourself. Enjoy sitting on one of the porches watching elk, antelope, mule deer, big horn ram, or the occasional moose. Star gaze at a magical night sky with more stars than you have ever seen before and a clear view of the milky way. Book a whole week for the holiday and gather all of your family together for memory filled time that they will talk about for years to come. If you are looking to get away from it all, our ranch features over 350,000 acres of Pike National Forest that surrounds the ranch on 3 sides with even more to explore right from the Glambler. The water is not potable (not drinkable). It is safe for taking showers and for cooking. We will provide bottles of water upon arrival. Sometimes phone services can be spotty because we are in the middle of the national forest. The hot tub is SHARED with other guests and comfortably fits up to four people—perfect for a cozy soak, but not built for big groups. We are pet friendly with the exception of certain breeds like Pit bulls, German Shepherds, and Rottweilers. ($50 Pet fee). 4x4 vehicle will be needed during winter months due to terrain conditions when it snows. (Generally from Nov-March) Trail Ride & Horsemanship Lesson Bordering the national forest, enjoy a guided trail ride paired with a hands-on horsemanship lesson. Closed December through March (winter months- no rides) • Full experience (ages 12+): $150 per person • Youth (under 12): $85 per rider Requirements: • Maximum weight: 245 lbs • No recent surgeries (within the past 6 months) Important: Availability depends on horse and instructor schedules—please contact us first to check dates and secure your spot. Other things to note * The water is NOT DRINKABLE please make sure to bring your own water. We will provide a few bottles of drinking water upon check in. *NO smoking or vaping is allowed indoors. *We have a little recreation center that has a TV with DVD Player along with a pool table, couches etc. It is a great place to stretch out and relax. *Please don't go inside of the animal pens or feed them. We take in a lot of special needs animals that no one wants, and they are often on special diets. *We do highly advise that you purchase traveler's or trip insurance to protect your purchase in the event of poor weather, illness, or other factors outside our control that would cause you to have to cancel after booking. Many credit cards offer this protection as well.
