Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located Metro Detroit place. The landscape is a little rough but we just painted the outside in Sept 2023! The inside has been fully renovated as of June 2023! It has a cozy and peaceful rustic tiny cottage feel. We hope to use the money from Airbnb to renovate the outside landscape next spring 2024! Heat: This house has one large gravity floor heater. Because the house is only 700 square feet, it heats up the whole house very well. The control for the thermostat is behind the sliding bathroom door on the wall. Sometimes when you turn the heat on or up/down, because it is a gravity unit and not forced air, it can take 30 -60 seconds to click on/over to that setting. If there is any issue with this heater for you, please let me know. I know this is a new type of unit for many guests and if you have any questions contact me anytime. There are ALSO, two backup separate plug-in space heaters you can use INSTEAD (Using both the space heaters and the gravity heater together would overheat the house), to heat the entire house. They have remotes that you can use to adjust the temperature on them. But please only use these if there is an issue with the gravity heater. And please let me know if there is so I can know that I need to send a technician to fix it. :) Air Conditioning: The air-conditioner is a unit that is inserted into any window and has a remote to control the temperature. It will also cool the entire house within about an hour of initiating. You have access to the entire house and front yard/ driveway area which is large enough to park 2 cars on side by side. It would also fit an RV. I’m hands-off with my guests to give you privacy and rest. But I am ALWAYS available by text/phone call if you have any questions or concerns. I want you to be happy, so please tell me ASAP if there’s anything that needs attention! This is a perfect location in the quiet suburb of Grosse Pointe. But only a 15 minute drive to all the fun and excitement of downtown Detroit! We are also walking distance (within 1 mile) of a Wallgreens, Major Hospital, Gas Station, Coney Island Restaurant, Grocery Store, Gym, Fed-Ex Kinko, Pizza, Bus Stop, Etc! And only 2 miles away from beautiful Lake Shore Drive! Go take a walk or drive and see the lakefront and all the fancy mansions! We have easy access to Lyft, Uber, Bus Lines, etc if you won’t have a car with you. Or if you just need a designated driver for the night! The neighborhood is also very walkable. I grew up here so if you need any recommendations, please ask! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I know great local shopping, restaurants, entertainment! 🛍️👩🏻‍🍳🎤🎵 PS. A drive thru Starbucks is within 2 miles of you ☕️🥐❤️ Pets are welcome but must be walked on a LEASH to go outside to potty. The yard is NOT fenced. (Though hopefully we will offer that in the future! ) But there is plenty of yard space to walk your dog around to potty. Please pick up after them. If your pet has an accident inside, it's okay, it happens. Especially in new environments. But please send me a picture of where it happened so I can do a deep clean of any rug/ furniture that was soiled AFTER you checkout. :) I will leave pet spray to use on your own during your stay for quick cleanup. If your pet needs a crate to stay in please let me know. I might be able to provide you will one depending on the size!
