Description

Pwll-y-march is a glorious farmhouse cottage with far-reaching views nestled in the Rhinog mountains yet just three miles from the sea. Peaceful and secluded, the cottage is perfect for hill walkers, families and those who just want to get away from it all. All the peaks of Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park are within easy reach - several of them right from the door - as are miles of unspoilt beaches, wild swimming, castles galore, heritage steam railways and the Italianate village of Portmeirion. The space Pwll-y-march is a very special place. The cottage has been newly renovated and retains many features of the old 17th century farmhouse, such as exposed beams, inglenook fireplace and original wooden floors, but with 21st century amenities including fast WiFi and a smart TV. There are three cosy bedrooms - two doubles and a twin - all with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Downstairs is a large, comfortable, open-plan fully-equipped kitchen - dining - living space where you can snuggle up on the sofa in front of the wood burner and pick from an extensive collection of books, jigsaws and games. The stairwell is the oldest part of the house. Very young or elderly guests must take care here as there is a drop on one side. There is a stairgate to prevent little ones from falling. Half way up the stairs is a large bathroom with bath and shower over, and a utility with washing machine and tumble dryer. At the top of the stairs is a small landing with a desk and study area. The enclosed garden is an idyllic place to relish the silence, clean air, panoramic views and night skies. Enjoy nature at its very best! Other things to note Note that the stairs are steep and there is a drop on one side. Therefore the property may be unsuitable for some guests with infirmities or mobility issues and young children will need extra supervision.
