Hughes by the Sea is a single level holiday house at Moonta Bay, just a short drive to the Moonta Bay or Port Hughes beaches or into Moonta. Hughes by the Sea has 4 bedrooms – queen, queen, 2 single, trio bunk; sleeping up to 8 people. Hughes by the Sea is just a 10-minute walk to Moonta Bay beach, or a short drive to the jetty precinct with dining options & Splash Town Water Park (seasonal opening hours). Or head south to Port Hughes to the tavern, general store or The Dunes golf course. Quilts and pillows are provided, but guests will need to bring their linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats & tea-towels) with them for their stay, or linen can be hired through the Country Getaways office. There are 2 bathrooms at the holiday house with the master queen bedroom having an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, vanity & toilet. The main bathroom has 3-way access to the walk-in shower, bath, vanity & separate toilet. Hughes by the Sea has ducted reverse cycle air-conditioning throughout, providing comfort for guests in all seasons of the year. The living area is spacious with the lounge room & kitchen, and adjacent dining room, with access to the outdoor entertaining area & rear yard. The lounge room has sofa seating, with a large wall-mounted television, which has USB & HDMI ports. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric stove, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, kitchen appliances & medium sized fridge/freezer; plus a high chair for those travelling with toddlers. The second lounge/family room has sofa seating, a large television (with USB & HDMI ports), DVD player & DVD's. There is a Wii games console & board games for guests to use during their stay. The laundry has full facilities for a short or long stay in Moonta Bay, with a front load washing machine, clothes dryer, wall-mounted clothesline, iron & ironing board. Guests can access the outside entertaining area from the dining room, with outdoor seating & dining, and a hooded gas barbecue in the undercover patio. In the rear yard is a fish cleaning sink, with the Port Hughes boat ramp just a short drive away for those coming to fish the gulf waters or join a fishing charter from Port Hughes. There is undercover carport parking for 1 car, and off-street parking for up to 3 cars and a boat in the gravel driveway.
