Myra Meadows Off Grid Yurt

An ideal place to enjoy peaceful, quiet time, in the woods while only being 25 minutes from the city center. Our off-grid yurt is heated by a woodstove, has an outdoor firepit and comfortable seating inside and out. Whether you are looking for an opportunity to connect more with nature or just unwind, we have everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. If you are looking for some adventure - Porters Lake and the Eastern Shore are home to many parks, lakes, beaches and trails. The space The yurt itself has a 15’ diameter and is nestled in the woods just on the outskirts of our homestead. The space is private and in the summer months very secluded. Just outside the yurts living space is our little homestead - “Myra meadows”. It’s an ever evolving homestead where we are attempting to be more self sufficient. We produce fresh veggies and preserves in our garden and greenhouse. We recently have acquired honey bees and have raised animals free range (although there are none on the farm currently) Guest access Myra meadows yurt is part of a 60 acre forested lot. The homestead and yurt are located at the front of the property. As you come up the driveway and take a left you will pass our home, garden and greenhouse. Keep straight and just past the tree line is parking. The yurt is about 100’ from the parking spot. Exploring the forest, lake and many eco systems deeper into the property is totally acceptable. Other things to note We do deal with animals on the property from time to time. Rabbits, porcupines, deer, bears and coyotes all make the woods and our property their home! There is a outdoor fire pit and some wood is provided. If you wish to burn more we sell firewood on site or you can collect wood from the forest floor Cell service really depends on providers but is not guaranteed. We do have a cell booster installed!
