Above the Falls is the ideal home for your next trip with friends or family-perfect for relaxing or entertaining. 4 bedroom/ 4.5 bath, bunk room, large gathering spaces big screen TV, pool table, & wall of windows with amazing treetop and canyon views. Sprawling back deck where you'll see the bald eagles and hear the rush of water from nearby Alto Dam. Central heat/ A/C on the main level, fireplace. Free WiFi, cable or satellite TV service and parking. This sprawling home is an ideal getaway with an open floor plan, master suite, plenty of outdoor deck space, and great views to ensure you and your family will have a grand time. As you drive up to the property, you'll notice lots of tall pine trees and no neighbors on the east side. From the driveway, there is a covered walkway and 2 steps up to the front door. You'll also notice the large deck and railing that wrap all the way across the back of the house. Inside the front door you will be greeted by a large living area with high ceilings, plush suede lounging sofas, big screen TV, and a pool table! With the flip of a switch, you'll love cozying up to the gas fireplace! The open floorplan offers a cozy yet airy feel with lots of windows to let in the natural light and take advantage of the views. There's also a coat closet and convenient powder bath. The patio door leads out to the sweeping outer deck with stunning canyon and tree top views! Plenty of seating outside w/ 2 outdoor dining tables where everyone can hang out and enjoy the smell of steaks on the grill! The grill is connected to a gas line so you'll never have to worry about running out of propane! There's abundant wildlife and you'll likely spot deer, elk, eagles near the Alto Dam nearby. And if you're lucky, the wild horses of Alto may stop by for visit! Back inside, you'll find a large dining table with plenty of seating. The large updated eat-in kitchen features stone countertops with space for prep and serving and bar seating for 4. There also a butcher block island. Good is a pleasure with this well-appointed space including large 5 burner gas range with oven and warming drawer, drip coffee maker, bullet juicer, and stocked with everything you'll need to prepare meals, just bring the groceries! Off the kitchen is the laundry room with washer and dryer. The primary suite is on the main level and just off the living room. Nicely tucked away for privacy, it features a king-sized bed w/ cozy bedding and rustic furnishings, large walk-in closet, ceiling fan, and cozy seating area w/ TV. French doors lead to the outside deck, a great spot to relax with morning coffee and enjoy the crisp mountain air. You'll never want to leave! The huge private bathroom has a vanity with double sinks with lots of space and storage, garden tub perfect for a relaxing soak, and a separate walk-in shower. There are 17 steps down from the living room to access all the other bedrooms. From the hallway to the left leads to 2 bedrooms and a sleep space with bunk bed. The first has a queen bed, TV, double closets, ceiling fan, and it's own full bath with shower/tub combo. There are large glass windows and door that lead out to a private balcony with outdoor sofa creating a peaceful sanctuary to relax and listen to the breeze through the pines. The second bedroom also has a queen bed, TV, double closets, ceiling fan, and windows with canyon views and connects to a full bath with shower/tub combo, also with hall access. Another private room provides a cozy sleep space with a cool twin bunk bed. At the other end of the hallway, step through the door and be amazed! The bunk room space is huge and all the kids can pile in and enjoy their own space complete with bunkbed, 2 twin beds, a lounge area with futon. The bunk room also has ceiling fan and it's own full bath! This home has central heat and A/C for your comfort and zoned for each floor. Parking area can accommodate 4 vehicles and guests are permitted to use the garage. Garage can only be accessed from the inside (no remotes). No pets, no smoking, no parties. SELF CHECK IN: Access codes for the remote lock are EMAILED to the reservation holder w/in 24 hours of arrival. Be sure to complete your guest check in form after booking and provide your email address and contact phone. DIRECTIONS AND CHECK IN INSTRUCTIONS: For the privacy of any staying guest, physical addresses are not provided until booking and confirmation is complete. . DIGITAL GUESTBOOK: Directions, check in instructions, and everything you'll need to know are available provided in the digital guestbook! The link is sent via email after booking and completing your check in form. We'll also send via SMS text message prior to arrival. ACCESSING THE HOUSE: The driveway up to the house is gravel and level for easy access. Entry to the house is through the front door. Guests have full access of the home except for any locked doors which are for owner's access only. Guests are welcome to use the 2 car garage but access only from the house, there are no remotes provided for guests. ALG&CC: Sorry but Club amenities are for the use of property owners only. Alto Lakes Golf and Country Club is a private golf community with sprawling vistas, lush pine forest, and breathtaking mountain and canyon views. The Country Club Community is extremely quiet and noise ordinances are strictly enforced. Please be respectful of the quite enjoyment of your neighbors as sound carries in the canyons. While Alto provides visitors and residents that "away from it all" feeling, we are conveniently located just 1 mile from the turn off to Ski Apache and Ruidoso Winter Park, 2 miles from Alto Lake, and 12 miles from Ruidoso's bustling Midtown and Grindstone Lake. Lincoln County is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts with great golf, live horseracing in summer months, and dozens of trails open year round for hiking and biking. Step back in history and take a tour of Billy the Kid's stomping grounds on the Billy the Kid Scenic Byway or take a day trip to nearby White Sands National Park and other great state parks! From mountain peaks to the desert basin, we have it all! Driving access is generally easy to moderate and all roads in the Country Club are paved. Some areas around Ruidoso and Alto are hilly to mountainous but generally easy to get around year round. During winter months, guests are encouraged to have access to 4-wheel drive and/or snow chains in the event of a major winter weather event. For extended stays, travel insurance is always recommended.
