Nestled under a canopy of oak trees, and located within walking distance of historic Gruene, Texas, our guest house is a two-story "home away from home" for guests desiring a cozy, romantic retreat, a gathering place for family, a refreshing spiritual retreat, or a secluded spot for quiet work. In the style of an historic, German Sunday House, your experience will be reminiscent of a stay on the SECOND FLOOR of an old home with the conveniences of modern amenities and easy recreation. Accessibility and Parking There is plenty of parking for 3 vehicles in front of the guesthouse and a single parking space is provided in front of the treehouse for those guests. We can make other arrangements as per your request. Check in/ out times Double check your reservation dates! Check in is 4pm and check out is 10 am. No early check in or late check out unless agreed upon in advance! ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING IN THE HOME NO PETS ALLOWED NO FIREWORKS ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY Upon arrival, please take a few moments to look around the property and double check that everything is working properly, nothing is broken, or needs attention. If anything seems out of place, broken, etc… Please notify us immediately so we can document it or send maintenance. Contact Preferred method of contact is to message us via your booking platform app (AirBnB or VRBO)- we are typically very responsive and can get back to you in a reasonable time-frame. If the matter is more urgent please call or text us. General & Supplies We supply- All the linens, some towels, blankets, pillows, some Keurig pods, teas, creamers, sugars, and a few snacks, etc. We leave a limited supply to get you started, but you may want extra: Toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. Items you may want: Zip lock bags, foil, cooking oil, seasonings TVs We have a smart TV in each unit; bring your own passwords to stream your favorites! Wifi Network: RiverHavenGuest | Password: RiverGuests Kitchen We have Keurig coffee makers. We also try to keep it stocked with everything you need to cook and entertain your family/group (pots, pans (guesthouse only), cookware, utensils, wine glasses, etc.) Basic Housekeeping If you need to do any minor cleaning during your stay- we try to keep some of the basic cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink. There is also a broom and dustpan if you need to clean up during your stay. Trash There are trash bins behind the greenhouse for personal use Check out instructions - Check out is at 10am unless otherwise discussed and arranged in advance. Keep in mind that the cleaning crew works in a tight window so we ask that you be mindful of the check out time and communicate with us should there be any hindrance to making it out on time. Please leave all dirty towels, wash clothes, etc. in the bathtubs. We will strip the beds so no need to worry about those. Please leave all trash outside your entry door when you leave. Bags are under the kitchen sinks. Take any and all food items that you brought and did not use. Log out of any personal accounts you may have logged into on the smart TV. Double check one last time for any of your personal items!!! Turn off all lights and lock all doors. Lastly, save our listing in Airbnb or VRBO so you can come see us again or share it with friends.
