Victorian Mews by The Heath
Victorian Mews by The Heath
Description
Our home is a quiet, peaceful, charming property on the edge of Hampstead Heath. It's perfect for a solo traveller or couple but can definitely accommodate 4 guests as well. There's lovely outside space, perfect for relaxing or entertaining. And If you want to explore London we're very well located - the Northern line tube station is 5 minutes walk and will get you to Tottenham Court Road in 14 minutes. The space My partner and I love our little mews house right in the heart of Dartmouth Park. It’s a ten minute walk to Hampstead Heath, one of London’s best green spaces. We can walk to the tube station (Tufnell Park on the Northern Line) in 5 minutes, which whisks us quickly into central London. The overground at Gospel Oak is a 7 minute walk away. The house is set back from the road at the mouth of a quiet, private mews street. There’s also an exterior wrought iron gate and a peaceful shaded courtyard before you get to the front door. This really makes the house feel secluded, safe and cosy. At the same time there’s a lovely buzz to the street with a pub, butcher, deli, convenience store, Indian restaurant and more within 30 seconds walk of our front door. They’re all excellent and very friendly - we use them all the time! The house itself was built in the late Victorian era but has been thoroughly modernised since! Inside, the house comprises a large kitchen / diner downstairs; bathroom and shower area; and a living room that could easily double as a second bedroom. Upstairs leads to the master bedroom with direct terrace access. Our home is absolutely perfect for a single traveller or couple. The large master bedroom has excellent natural light from enormous skylights (fitted with electric blinds), a super king size bed (1800mm wide), a retractable projector screen and direct access to a large private terrace. The terrace is the perfect place to relax or entertain. There’s an outside sofa, sun lounger, two barbecues and a dining table. The downstairs living room has a large comfortable sofa, perfect for watching films and relaxing. This room could also easily double as a second bedroom and we are happy to set up a double bed in here if required. The house has a quirky character, full of light and space and we’ve added some lovely design pieces over the years. There’s books and art and objects and plants and we hope it feels like a proper home, full of soul. One of my favourite things is our striking red Alexander Calder mobile that hangs in the double height entrance void and turns gently in the breeze. There’s underfloor heating, wifi, a double oven with 6 burner gas stove, a large American style fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine tumble dryer, television, projector and two outside barbecues. This is the first time we’ve ever put our house on Airbnb so we don’t have any positive reviews…yet! But we’re determined to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible and hope that you’ll love our house as much as we do. Guest access As guest you'll have the entire place to yourselves.
