Room 2 in la Closerie, ancient hotel from 1887

La Closerie is a former hotel from 1887 in the middle of the village of Saint-Didier-sur-Rochefort. Located next to the café, opposite the monumental church, this idyllic spot has retained the unique appearance of the transit hotel of yesteryear. There are currently 3 bedrooms available with private bathroom. If you wish to stay with more than 2 people, please also view the other advertisements. The 2 owners are present during the rental, along with 2 friendly dogs and 2 adorable cats. The space The charming house of 600 m2, with a walled garden is overgrown with Oriental vine and exudes peace and tranquility. Many kinds of birds chirp, and when night falls, the swallows flutter around the church tower and the trees... And at night you can hear the owls in the distance in the forest. The streetlights in the village are extinguished at 23:00. Especially for people who come from the city (like ourselves) the nightly silence is overwhelming. The room has an area of 20 m2. There is a double bed and the entrance to the private bathroom with shower and toilet is in the room. The window offers a view of the garden and the rustic hills behind the village. The room is equipped with a kettle with nescafe and tea. For a complete breakfast (and other meals) we refer to the adjacent café Les Trois Temps, (from 07:30), but please book in advance . Guest access The guests share the entrance with any other guests and the landlords. The entrance is on the side wall of the house, accessible through a white cast iron garden gate. Through the tiled hall you reach the two stairs to the first floor. There is a corridor with 8 doors to the different rooms and to the attic of 180 m2, where a small independent studio of 45 m2 has just been built. During your stay The guests can completely go their own way after being received by the landlords. These can be consulted if desired.
