L'Oiseau Bleu: 2 cottages with pool

Come and relax with family or friends in this former 18th century distillery in the heart of Romanesque Saintonge. Ideally located 30 minutes from the beaches, nestled in the countryside between the Charente and the Gironde Estuary, this place will seduce you with its calm, charm and authenticity. The building has been divided into accommodations with private gardens, including 2 cottages that can accommodate 6 and 10 guests (max 15 people simultaneously) that can be booked together or separately. The space The building has been divided into 4 units: 2 that we occupy with my family, and where we sometimes receive other guests (family or friends). The 2 adjoining cottages, which you can rent together or separately, each with its own garden and private terrace. In the large gîte, 5 bedrooms that can accommodate 10 people. In the small gîte, 3 bedrooms that can accommodate 6 people. Please note, total maximum capacity is 15 people. All accommodations are completely separate (private entrance, garden and private terrace and enclosed by walls). Guest access Guests have access to the entire outdoors: parking, outdoor play area (trampoline, swings, slides, ping-pong tables), pool area (16x10 m pool). You can meet our animals on the property which extends over more than one hectare: horses, dwarf goats, parrots... Possibility of setting up a common outdoor dining area for 15 people. Outdoor areas (swimming pool, children's play area) are shared with my family and sometimes other guests (if we are hosting family or friends). However, the private gardens adjoining your cottages (with dining area, barbecue) are reserved for you. The pool area is fully secure for children: standard fence, secure gate. Other things to note July/August: During the summer school holidays, the cottages are available for rent only by the week: from Saturday to Saturday. Important - heating: The cottages are equipped with wood-burning stoves in the living rooms (wood provided free of charge) and heated towel rails in the bathrooms – not intended to run constantly at full capacity (fees may be charged in case of excessive power consumption). The cottages do not currently have a central heating system – this is why rentals are only possible from May to October. Sheets and towels: - offered (included for free) for stays of 3 nights or more (beds made on arrival). - optional (extra charge) for stays of less than 3 nights (€15 per person, to be paid on arrival).
