In 2 hours, you can choose to head to Yosemite National Park, San Francisco, Napa Valley, or Lake Tahoe. A short drive east is the historic Sutters Millsite, where the Gold Rush began, and the Jumping Frog festival for Calaveras County, made famous by Mark Twain. Sacramento airport is a little over an hour away. Nearby are the almond orchards for Blue Diamond, and the great wine production at Lodi, Murphys, and Amador County.
