The Chicken Shed Lodge is a lovingly restored, modern and stylish rural retreat perfect for a romantic getaway or family break. Bedrooms: One double bedroom and one triple bedroom with double and single beds (we do not permit additional people sleeping in the geodesic dome in this property only due to the size of the bathroom facilities). Bathroom: 1 bathroom with bath and power shower. Seperate WC. Kitchen: Fridge, freezer, oven and grill, microwave, dishwasher, filter coffee machine and washer/dryer. Minimum two nights stay all year round. Any day check-in. We strive to maintain an idyllic holiday retreat that transports you to an oasis of peace and tranquillity. The Chicken Shed Lodge allows you to make the most of your idyllic surroundings with a wraparound outdoor decking area featuring a wood-fired pizza oven and gas barbeque, two hanging rattan seats and table and chairs for al fresco dining. There’s even a lover’s swinging bench on the rear deck, from which you sit back and gaze out over the famous battlefield landmark of Edgehill. Or you might prefer to soak up the romantic views from your very own five-seater hot tub. It comes complete with Bluetooth – perfect for playing your favourite tunes, while luxuriating in bubbles and sipping on something chilled! Step out of the hot tub, take a refreshing outdoor shower and then ascend the stairs to your very own raised private geodesic dome, complete with sumptuous super-king-sized circular bed. A telescope and binoculars are provided to partake in some stargazing or nature watching, including a duck-filled pond, birds, lambs and the resident ponies and alpacas. French doors at the back of the lodge, open into a spacious living area with comfortable seating and extendable dining room table with chairs. Kick back and relax with the latest technology, including a 43” SMART TV, DVD and WIFI speaker for cosy nights in, plus a selection of games to keep the kids entertained on colder days. The fully equipped modern kitchen, directly off the lounge, comes complete with a range of integrated appliances and all the mod cons you need for an effortless stay, including a dishwasher and washer/dryer. And for that extra special personal touch, there’s a welcome basket on arrival for all guests, including fresh milk, fruit and delicious cake. A hallway from the lounge leads to two spacious bedrooms – a double and a triple room with one double and one single bed, both with ample wardrobe capacity. The modern bathroom boasts a power shower over the bath, complimentary toiletries and super soft towels plus a separate toilet. The Chicken Shed Lodge has LPG-powered central heating and thermostat-controlled radiators so you’ll stay cosy whatever the weather. Important stuff: Check in: 3pm Check out: 10am Due to the tranquil nature of our site, the surrounding wildlife and guests staying in our other properties, we politely ask all guests to keep outside noise to a minimum and for no loud music to be played at all times. The hot tub is exclusively for the use of guests staying in the Chicken Shed Lodge. There is a woodland play area with fire pit on site that is exclusive for the use of guests staying in Will’s Tree House, Jess Tree Bach and the Chicken Shed Lodge. All bed linen and towels are provided. Complimentary towelling robes are also provided for all adult members of the party. Free WiFi. Cots (plus linen), highchairs, children’s toilet seats, shower stools and toilet frames are provided on request at no extra cost. Gas, wood and firelighters are provided for the outdoor pizza oven and barbecue. Self-check-in (you will be emailed the door lock code and directions prior to your arrival). The owners live on site and can be contacted at any time during your stay for assistance. There is parking for two cars immediately outside and plenty of parking for additional vehicles about 10 meters away. Iron, ironing board and hairdryer all provided. All kitchen essentials are provided (washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, foil, salt/pepper etc). A welcome pack of fruit, cake, filter coffee and milk is left for all guests on arrival. Guest access There is a woodland play area with fire pit on site that is exclusive for the use of guests staying in Will’s Tree House, Jess Tree Bach and the Chicken Shed Lodge. There is also a sunken trampoline, ancient pirate ship and sunken tractor tyres for climbing. Other things to note There are 5 other holiday properties on our farm - 4 lodges and a tree house. We have 3 alpacas - Barry, Geoff and Pepper, plus two ponies - Stan and Queenie, in the paddock that the Chicken Shed Lodge overlooks. We have to do twice daily checks and dose of the hot tub for safety purposes - we'll try to not disturb you.
