Set in the countryside 22 km from downtown Jaipur, the 12-acre Savista estate is a traditional palatial mansion (haveli) turned eco-hotel. The space We are listed on Airbnb as a villa, but Savista is a Haveli (north Indian term for a mansion of traditional design). It combines traditional architecture with modern comfortable interiors, the amenities of an elegant hotel with the warmth and informality of a family home, a timeless rural agrarian environment with a post-modern ethos of eco-friendly travel. Set outside the tourist cluster of the Pink City, guests will get a genuine feel for authentic Rajasthani culture, food, and life. Our farm-to-fork meals are organic, simple and delicious and cooked in the slow tradition. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the villages and farms in the neighbourhood, the blockprinting village of Bagru (10 km away), do day trips to cultural-historical-environmental getaways closeby, and have easy access to Jaipur's historical attractions and shopping, facilitated by our comfortable cars outfitted with seat belts and driven by our courteous, knowledgeable and English speaking drivers. Spend the day in Jaipur, or do day excursions to Amber, Sanganer, Pushkar, Abhaneri, or Bhanratpur, learn blockprinting or bangle making, and return to Savista in the evening - your escape from noise, traffic and crowds. Alternatively, you could spend all your time at Savista doing a yoga or cooking class or detox workshop, and spend the evenings hiking or biking in the countryside around. Our comfortable rooms (air-conditioned in summer, heated in winter) all have ensuite bathrooms and balcony, and several have an extra sitting room or private terrace. They are tastefully decorated and each room has a unique design and theme/name drawn from nature. High speed, unlimited wifi and at least one room which is disability friendly, are other features. There are numerous common spaces in the haveli - large lounges, sit-outs, sun decks, the pool courtyard and deck, film viewing room, library, and an amazing roof top girdling the entire haveli that is an excellent space for sun bathing, bird watching, star gazing, snoozing, or simply looking out onto the countryside that surrounds the property. There are also gardens and lawns with hammocks and garden chairs, marquees for sun lounging, al fresco breakfast and dining areas, a separate wing with a gym, sauna and steam, bar lounge, and enclosed dining area warmed by fireplaces in the winter. We have an open-air pool, tennis and table tennis. Finally, there are Savista's fields and vegetable garden where grains and vegetables are grown organically for use by the haveli. The water at Savista comes from our own deep bore well, it is tested and safe to drink. Breakfast is provided free with each stay. Lunch, snacks, dinner etc. are available on request. And can be tailored to suit dietary restrictions if any. If you are interested in exploring any aspect of Rajasthan culture, we can easily build a program around anything you want. Our cars can also pick-you up or drop you from/to Delhi, Agra, Udaipur, Jodhpur, etc. We have 12 rooms in all, and each room can comfortably fit upto 2 persons. Some rooms have space for an extra rollaway bed for a child at a small extra charge.
