Access Diani Beach in less than 120 meters. Enjoy the upstairs unit of a two-storey guest house that is located within a beautiful property surrounded by indigenous forest. It comprises two en-suite bedrooms, a lovely indoor sitting room, a small kitchen, work desk and a large balcony overlooking the shared pool area. The unit has its own entrance/stairs. The space The apartment is decorated with traditional Swahili-style furniture. The two bedrooms have air conditioning as well as overhead fans. In the event of a national power cut, our generator will be powered during the night but only intermittently throughout the day. Power cuts are out of our control sadly. This is one of the few beach-front properties that still boasts its indigenous trees. Monkeys, including the endangered black-and-white Angolan colobus monkey frequently visit the plot during the day; and at night the greater galagos (bush babies) can be heard calling from the tree-tops and are often seen too, if you put out some fruit for them at night! Since we are closely surrounded by forest, you may also encounter monitor lizards, geckos, squirrels and possibly other species that live here. Please note that the property is open at the beach and the road side. We are located close to all amenities, beach bars/restaurants, shops, banks, scuba diving, snorkelling trips, golf. Scuba diving facilities are located at Nomads which is just a few minutes walk along the beach, while a kite surfing school is located just outside our property on the beach. The glass bottom boat trip to the reef and sandbank is recommended for snorkelling. There are many local Diani tour operators selling day trips to nearby Shimba Hills or further national parks like Tsavo or Amboseli - please take a look at our guide book for Diani Beach. We can also arrange for a masseuse to come to the house for massages at a reasonable rate. If you require a chef, this can also be arranged - subject to availability and at an extra cost. Please note the chef only does cooking and not shopping. Personal laundry can be done at a nearby laundromat for a small fee. They offer free delivery and pick up - see house manual for more details. The apartment is positioned slightly behind our family home and the walk through the garden to reach the beach is only 120 meters. It has its own entrance by way of an external stairway as indicated in the photos.
