This lovely little canvas tent offers a luxury camping experience to connect with nature, all while staying cozy! This is an immersive outdoors experience, offering access to over 640 acres of private land to explore. Enjoy lovely forest and valley views while hiking, fishing, mountain biking, birding, star gazing or just exploring. NO CELL SERVICE AVAILABLE ON SITE. The space Grease Creek Glamp is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, nestled in a lovely spruce forest. The tent is a 14’ x 15’ canvas tent that is completely outfitted with flooring, beds, plush bedding and fresh towels. The camp site has a private firepit to cozy up to each night as well as a picnic table and an outhouse, only a short walk away. We also provide essential kitchen items to make your stay easier. Just bring your personal items, food, drink, a cooler and ice. For those flying in, we can provide coolers if required (please arrange in advance). Please note, we also have another cabin available for rent a short walk through the woods that sleeps 8. Search “Cozy Country Cabin” on the AirBnb app. Our home is located only 1 km away if you require any assistance during your stay. Guest access Guests will have access to a firepit with free firewood. An axe will be provided to make your own kindling. We will obey any fire bans, so please check before your arrival. A propane fire will be provided in the case of a fire ban. Guests are free to explore our 640 acres of private land and utilize for hiking, fishing, mountain biking and birding. Maps will be provided of the exact areas you have access to. Creek access for fishing, swimming and skating in the winter. Swimming will depend on moisture conditions and vary throughout the summer. The creek is an approximately 800m hike or a short drive. A map will be provided of the ranch and areas that are accessible as well as where to drive to get cell service. ATV’ing will not be permitted on site, but forestry access, with legal trails, is only 2 km away! Located 45 minutes from Sundre or Cochrane, 75 minutes to Calgary, 2 hours to Banff. Short 15 minute drive to the Fallen Timber Meadery where a private tour and tasting of their local mead products can be booked. 15 minute drive to the famous Water Valley Saloon. Other things to note Basic kitchen essentials/utensils provided including plates, cups, silverware, pots & pans. Review pictures for exactly what will be provided & bring any other equipment you may require. A propane camp stove with one burner and grill is available for guest use. A camp shower will be provided for guest use as well as towels. Washing water will be provided but please bring your own drinking water. Fishing rods & lure available for rent during your stay. Please inquire. We are in the wild and scenic Alberta foothills and share this beautiful area with wild animals including deer, moose, cougar, lynx, grizzly and black bears. Please store all food in your vehicle and do not leave any food or trash in the tents or outside. Garbage can be placed in the bear proof receptacles provided. There is NO CELL PHONE SERVICE in the area and no wifi provided. There is no power provided. There is no heat provided. Although we aim to make your stay luxurious, this is still camping and occasional insect visitors cannot be prevented. The glamp is located in a REMOTE location, so if convenience is your priority this may not be the right choice for you. Please note the glamp is located on a working cattle ranch; cattle will be fenced out of the glamping area but may be grazing in the area nearby. You will travel on 16km of gravel roads West of Water Valley.
