Perfectly positioned to access world-class renowned golf courses, vineyards, and mountain bike trails and with the rolling farmland of Lulworth Farm situated behind the property, The Castaway Cabin offers the opportunity to reflect, rewind and rediscover. The space We have transformed what could previously be described as a run-down shack into the country coastal cabin that it is today. We have designed the space to honour the way we used to holiday on Tasmania’s north coast, where sandy feet were the sign of a good beach session and where a tipple at sunset by the firepit is where tales of the day were heard and told. With nods to the original cabin combined with contemporary renovations, we aim to provide not just a stay but an experience. Accommodating 4-5 guests, The Castaway Cabin provides a comfortable open plan kitchen, dining, and living space with two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a large deck area. Suited to individuals, couples, and small families, the main bedroom consists of a queen bed and the bunk room houses bunks with a trundle bed. A timber lined interior cocoons guests and paired with comfy beds dressed in quality linen, The Castaway Cabin is a haven to retreat to after long walks on the beach. Soak up the sun all day on the deck with views to Tasmania’s Ninth Island beyond. Quality coffee made from locally roasted beans from the Breville coffee machine will ensure your day in Lulworth starts out perfectly. Kitted out with a barbecue and market umbrella, the front deck is the perfect place to relax and savour a glass of Tasmanian wine from one of the vineyards located nearby. The Castaway Cabin contains a new, full sized kitchen that features quality appliances, including an electric oven/cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine, as well as plenty of storage. We stock a basic pantry that includes locally roasted coffee beans, teabags, salt, pepper, and locally produced olive oil. Our small bathroom contains all of the essentials; a shower, vanity, and toilet, and it's where local self-care products wash away the salt and cares of the day. A large flat yard offers the freedom of space for children to play and totem tennis, and beach toys are available for guest use. Stay entertained with a smart TV, small library of novels, board games, and children’s toys and books. Rolling hills and patchwork farmland behind the block offer a picturesque backdrop to the firepit - the perfect place for roasting marshmallows and indulging in conversation. The beach is located a short 6 minute walk from the property, and it’s not unheard of to have this pristine coastline all to yourself. Please note that it is essential to bring your own supplies . Whilst we have water tanks, it is also recommended to bring drinking water with you. The closest shop to the cabin is Pipers River Store, and Coles does deliver to the area. Guest access Guests have access to the cabin, deck, barbecue, firepit, front and backyard areas. Other things to note Our bunk room includes one set of bunks and a trundle bed. Behind the property sits Lulworth Farm which is a fully operational, working farm. Occasionally farm animals may reside in the paddock backing on to the property and animal noises can be heard from time to time. A cot and highchair can be arranged on request.
