The SKADA chalet was designed to provide maximum comfort and tranquility to its guests. Our location is perfect for those who want to relax to the sound of the woods and the Macaé River that passes in front of the property, with exclusive access for bathing. We also have an amazing gourmet space for those who enjoy cooking. A hike to the center of Lumiar is easy and welcome. We are in Vale dos Peões, about 1 km from the center. The embrace of nature with the charm of a unique space! The space The chalet has two levels. In the outdoor area of the ground level, there are decks with benches, tables, shower; barbecue and balcony with fireplace; inside the chalet is the living room, bathroom, kitchen and laundry room. Upstairs are the toilet and the bedrooms with their balconies and beautiful views of the Macaé River, the iconic Pedra Riscada and other mountains that make Serra do Mar a spectacular setting. Contact with nature is the best program here. There is much to do: feel at peace contemplating nature, relax on the deck or around the fireplace, share stories that warm the heart or relax in a hammock listening to the murmur of the waters of the Macaé River. On a hot day, cool off in those same waters. Access to the Macaé River is within the property, but the land is cut off by a street. Therefore, it is necessary to cross this street to reach the river, passing through a gate that is normally locked. The guest has access to the key to this gate. The Macaé River can become very torrential on rainy days. Therefore, caution is recommended when entering the river, especially with children. Access to the chalet is possible in any car as the street is wide and flat. There is a final stretch of 500 meters on a dirt road. The property has a private, gated parking lot. One of the best programs is to leave the car parked, walk along a path that borders the river and arrive at the center of Lumiar to enjoy the bohemian, gastronomy and local culture. We know that a complete experience in nature is one in which you can include your pets. They are welcome as long as they are small and well-mannered. Remember that it is expressly forbidden for them to climb on beds and sofas. The chalet has good quality residential Wi-Fi, with speeds of up to 70 MB. Netflix works well. Guest access Guests have access to a private area on the banks of the Macaé River and can also walk around the property to enjoy the scenery and rest in spaces built exclusively for relaxation. Other things to note My first tip is for the guest who needs cash. The only ATMs in the Lumiar and São Pedro da Serra region are from Bradesco. The nearest 24-hour cash machine is in MURY. If you arrive via the Cachoeiras de Macacu/Friburgo or Teresópolis/Friburgo mountain range, I advise you to stop in MURY to visit the local market (meat shops, wines, supermarkets, pay-per-weight restaurants and, of course, a strudel). The supermarkets, in particular, are very good and have a variety of items. Before you hit the road, take the opportunity to check the fuel (in MURY there are 2 gas stations). Then, with everything ready, just take the RJ-142 (depending on the day and time) and, if you wish, enjoy the cuisine along the way. There are a few restaurants and houses that sell sweets and honey. Warning! Depending on the season, there may sometimes be fog at the highest part of the road before it begins to descend. Redouble your attention and always drive with your headlights on.
