Santosha Sanctuary - Beach Farmhouse

This big old farmhouse was lovingly restored to her former glory. Perched on top of the dunes with 180 degree sea views from the deck, an huge balcony and a big garden, she gives you a feeling of stepping away from the world. The house has been finished with top notch finishes and comfy beds. There is direct beach access, plus a permit to access to a private beach within Bazley with an excellent surf break and swimming beach. The space The main house has 3 en-suite bedrooms. A fourth bedroom with two single beds is attached to the third bedroom and is suitable for a family to share the bathroom. The living room features a fireplace and dining area and dining table that seats 10. There is a separate two bedroom cottage that has an en-suite bathroom with a queen bed and a lounge area with three single beds. This is a place to get away from it all, so although we have fibre, we do not have DSTV. There is a smart TV where you can sign into your own streaming services. The cell phone signal is poor. We have a gas oven and some rechargeable bulbs for load shedding. There is a large balcony with outdoor seating for wiling away the time watching the whales and surf. Please note that our house and the surrounding area is a sanctuary and quiet space and was created to accommodate groups who want to get away from it all. We are part of a walled community who all share this sentiment. We will not tolerate any noise or disturbances, and cannot accommodate parties. This is a restful place and we want to keep it that way. Other things to note The house has beach access but the stairs to the beach can be treacherous for the elderly. This is a beach house and while it has been restored and renovated, it is near to 100 years old and has its quirks. Please bring your own wood for the fire pit, fireplace and Braai area. We have a built-in Braai on the deck and a portable Braai that you can use at the back of the house if it is too windy to use the deck.
