Description

The space Allow us to introduce you to our space! You climb just 5-6 steps, walk across a pretty bridge lined with boxes of lavenders on either side, and voilà you're home! The hallway is decked with a beautiful soft beige rug. A large silver framed mirror on one wall, an eye catching photograph of calm, misty green hills on the other and lots of storage space complete this area. Directly opposite the main door is our storage closet. Stow away your coats and jackets, boots and shoes here. This is also where you can find emergency cleaning supplies and the cloth drying stand. Our kitchen has all the amenities you need - microwave, oven, stove, kettle, coffee machine, dishwasher - you name it! There's an expandable table too, if you want to dine in. Speaking of dining in - we have a 'breakfast ledge' (stocked with Müsli and oats) and also pasta and rice, tiny glass jars of Italian herbs and Indian spices. And of course, there's tea and coffee and sugar. You just need to buy yourself some milk, and breakfast is sorted. If you're feeling adventurous, why not try making some Masala Chai or Ghee Rice? They are specialties from our hometown and the recipes are printed on the wall. We swear you'll be making them over and over again! The highlight of the bathroom is our LED shower. Experience child like joy and watch the lights of the shower go blue and green, as you take nice, long, hot showers. Grab one of the crisp, clean and plush towels from the towel rack on the side to dry yourself. The mirrored cabinet has cotton pads, Q tips and extra toilet paper. There's also a washing machine in the washroom, in case you need to do some urgent laundry. Take a moment to admire the beautiful photograph of an elephant and his mahout, if you will. Moving on to the main zone - our sleeping and living area. Thanks to the plentiful greenery and the sunshine streaming in through the huge floor to ceiling windows, one feels immediately at ease. We've furnished this space in beautiful shades of white, beige, grey and wood, burnt oranges and yellows, gold and ochre. With our Emma One mattress, down pillows and a comfy duvet you're sure to sleep like a baby! We've also taken care to use only hypoallergenic bed linen. Groups of 4, fret not! You won't have to sleep on the floor or a futon. We've got something better. A proper, big air mattress, comfortable pillows and plush duvets. Using the pump to inflate the air mattress will sure give you the sense of camping out, but with the comfort of sleeping in a hotel (not as comfy as the Emma One though!) For those of you who need to work from home, there's an ergonomic study table near the windows. Sit back in our cozy armchair and read a book, perhaps? Or click a mirror selfie unlike any other in front of our intricately carved, antique wood framed mirror. In the living area, we've a tasteful white leather couch, more cushions and throws. Make yourself comfortable and enjoy Netflix, YouTube or whatever else you like on our Smart TV. Last but not the least is the balcony. Taking meals out here, gazing into the greenery would be a fabulous idea indeed! We have even put out throws here to keep you warm on chilly days. The beautiful traditional lanterns on either side, lend an ethereal dusky glow to the place. One could easily spend hours just sitting there, we reckon! The number of events taking place in Hamburg on any given day, especially on weekends - is staggering! You have music festivals, flea markets, theater and opera performances, grill festivals - anything that floats your boat. While most of you may be here to explore Hamburg, we strongly encourage you to check out Hansestadt Buxtehude too! The Old Town (Altstadt) in particular is truly charming and has lots of beautiful majestic, red brick buildings and Fachwerkhäuser. Take a stroll through the Altstadt, enjoy a cup of coffee or maybe a glass of Buxtehuder Wein (wine) in the many quaint cafés here, pose with the Hase und Igel Denkmale. You'll thank us later! So that's our home (and our city) for you! We are fully madly and deeply in love with our place and hope that you'll grow to love and enjoy it just as much, in your short stay with us. SMOKING inside the Apartment is Strictly prohibited, Failure to adhere to the rule could cost you upto 200€. With lots of love Wazeem, Milna and Ehaan
