For decades, our Hardanger heritage home served as a guesthouse for travellers across the world. Following a complete renovation, we are delighted to return this 105-year-old property to its original purpose, welcoming guests who wish to experience the beauty and serenity of Norway's great fjords. A five-bedroom retreat, this luxury home boasts fjord views on all sides. Within easy access of Norheimsund (gateway to Hardanger) and a short walk from Øystese, this gem of a property has it all. The first floor comprises an entrance/cloaks area, bathroom, open-plan kitchen-diner and living room with balcony looking out onto Hardangerfjord. Five bedrooms (two king-sized mattresses, two doubles and one single), a second lounge with sofa bed and TV, home office, shower room and fully equipped laundry room make up the second floor. This spacious family home can comfortably accommodate up to 11 guests, with extra beds available. A large furnished deck provides ample space for outdoor dining with a BBQ grill to hand. A kayak, SUP paddleboards and fishing gear are also available for guest use free of charge. Whatever your travel plans, our Hardangerfjord hideaway will not disappoint. Other things to note For remote workers, the property features a work space with a stable Internet connection. For infants, we offer a travel cot, high chair and other child-friendly bits and bobs. Two large screen TVs with streaming platform options, a sound system and digital audio players in all rooms mean that entertainment is always on hand. A ready supply of wood comes with our log-burning fire - the perfect recipe for the ultimate Norwegian 'hygge' experience. In the summer months, outdoor furniture and a BBQ grill provide the perfect al fresco dining experience. A kayak (1-2 seater), two SUP paddleboards and basic fishing gear are available for guest use free of charge.
