Charming riverfront cottage that offers adventures for all seasons, whether it's hitting the slopes of Palisades Tahoe or heading to the crystal blue waters of Lake Tahoe -- both are only 5 to 10 minutes away! Nestled among the trees, with the river rushing by, this cottage lends an atmosphere of a remote getaway, while being close to it all. **Please note: Our Retreat is not suitable for children or infants. No pets allowed. ** This cottage offers 2 bedrooms, with a jack and jill full bathroom (w/ shower) in between. The main bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a queen sofa bed. Each bedroom has its own, separate entrance for privacy. The cottage was updated November 2022, with new floors, bed and furniture. Please note there is NO KITCHEN, but coffee maker, mini fridge (with freezer), and microwave are provided. Plates, bowls, mugs, and silverware are also provided for your convenience. Celebrating a special event? Wine glasses and corkscrew at the ready! We have WIFI. For the most part, WIFI is reliable. Please just keep in mind that it may be finicky dependent upon weather conditions. There is a sitting area in the 2nd bedroom that works great as a workspace, if needed. Guests will access the home via electronic door lock. Guest parking is limited to 2 vehicles. It should also be noted that you share a driveway with another house so please be respectful and do not block their access. The cottage is EASILY ACCESSIBLE DURING SNOW SEASON!!! It is directly across the Truckee River from Highway 89 – which gets top priority with the snowplows. During snow season, our entire street (and driveway) is plowed first thing each morning – it is plowed by a resident of our street, so no waiting for the snowplow to arrive! The Village has wonderful shops and delicious restaurants. Our cottage is a skiing and snowboarding dream, we are located 5 minutes from Squaw Valley Ski Resort, Alpine Meadows only 10 minutes away. The North Tahoe Area has so much to offer in terms of hiking, biking, fishing, golf and delicious restaurants. All of which are easily within reach from this location! River Ranch Restaurant (5 Minutes Away on Highway 89)- Beautiful location right on the Truckee River. Squaw Valley Village (5 Minutes Away)- Fireside Pizza Company, Auld Dubliner Squaw Valley, Tremigo Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar Sunnyside Restaurant (10 Minutes Away)- Amazing location right on Lake Tahoe! Reservations recommended. Fire Sign Cafe (10 Minutes Away)- Great spot for breakfast or lunch. Little Truckee Ice Creamery (20 Minutes Away, Donner Lake)- be prepared for a line, but it's worth the wait! Hikes: Truckee River Bike Path to Tahoe City (5 Minutes away on 89 at Squaw Valley Signal) Five Lakes Trail (5 Minutes Away- Take Alpine Meadows Road Off Highway 89 for 2 miles to the trailhead where you will park along the side of the road)
