** NEWS WINTER 2025/2026 ** For the first time we open up during winter season! - - - This beautiful Airbnb is at the border of Rondane National Park. The old farmhouse dates back to around 1820 and is the ultimate off grid adventure. You'll warm up by the fireplace and sleep in bunkbeds, watching the stars or the northern lights through the rooftop window. Want to enjoy a moment of wellness? Then fire up your private sauna and take a refreshing dip in the snow. The space Discover this charming historical farmhouse with a breathtaking view of the Rondane mountains! This historical farm is in a beautiful remote location which means you'll enjoy a truly off-grid experience. - There is no electricity, so we provide you with candles and eco-friendly battery/solar-powered lights to brighten your stay. - There is no running water, but we there's a shower just a quick 10-minute drive away at the check-in location. - We have build a cozy compost toilet in the barn! Guest access The entire farmhouse is yours and is not shared with others. There are two beds in the living room and another four beds in the separate sleeping room. This room has a skylight overlooking the stars and the northern lights. Especially for our guests there is a small wood-fired mini sauna nearby a small waterfalls with swimming lake. This is exclusively for guests staying at this farmhouse. Other things to note ** EXCTING NEWS FOR WINTER 2025/2026 ** We are happy to announce that for the first time we open up during winter season. To reach this beautiful spot, we have to clear the 4 km long mountain road from snow, which involves some extra costs and time. To cover these extra costst we add a small "property management fee" of just 200 NOK per stay/weekend. (It is automatically added to your price) Firewood for the cozy fireplace, the wood-burning oven and the sauna is included in the price, making your winter experience even more enjoyable! - - - Just a quick note: we don’t provide standard bedding and bed linen, so we kindly ask our guests to bring their own winter sleeping bag and pillow for a cozy stay. But don’t worry! If you'd prefer to rent, we’ve got you covered! For just NOK 150 per person, you can rent a "sleep well package" (sleeping bag, pillow and pillow cover).
