Welcome to our charming and stylish home, a small yet cozy family retreat at Lake Norman, NC. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, this relaxing getaway offers a laid-back vibe and modern conveniences, making it the perfect home away from home. It’s also perfect for boaters; easy lake access without the high price of lakefront rental. In addition to fun on the lake, there is an abundance of restaurants, shops, breweries, golf, outdoor concerts, and wineries, all within minutes. The space As you step inside our warm and inviting KickbackCottageLKN, you'll immediately feel the cozy ambiance. SLEEPING: The fully renovated space features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to six guests. Each bedroom is thoughtfully designed with your comfort in mind, complete with ROKU Smart TVs where you can sign into your favorite streaming services. From the primary (king) bedroom, step out to the patio, where you can enjoy a morning cup of coffee or indulge in a good book under the warm afternoon sun. The second bedroom has a small desk and chair if work space is needed. COOKING/DINING, COFFEE BAR: The kitchen and dining area are fully equipped, making it a breeze to prepare your favorite meals. Immerse yourself in the inviting and functional space, where you'll find a large stainless-steel refrigerator, glass top electric stove/oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The beautiful butcher block island serves as the heart of the kitchen, providing ample room for meal preparation. Take a seat on one of the three comfortable counter stools and savor the aroma of your culinary creations. The dining area is equally inviting, featuring a four-person round table perfect for enjoying meals or engaging in one of the many provided games and puzzles. Indulge in a cup of coffee or tea at the dedicated coffee bar area, complete with a Keurig, a drip coffee pot, and an electric tea kettle. Upon arrival, you'll discover coffee packets for the drip coffee machine, a small sample of K-Cups for the Keurig, creamers, sweeteners, and sugar, all ready for you to enjoy a cup of coffee the moment you walk through the door. BATHROOMS, LAUNDRY ROOM: Both bathrooms have stylish tile and glass showers (no tub) with towels and toiletries provided. The hall bath houses a full washer and dryer behind sleek sliding barn doors, along with an iron and ironing board. We've taken care of all the details, including laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and beach towels for your convenience. GARAGE, OUTDOOR DINING AND GRILL, FIRE PIT, YARD GAMES Looking for extra laid-back space to unwind? Look no further! Our unfinished detached garage offers a TV with Xbox 360, dartboard, leather recliners, mini fridge, and Alexa Echo Dot for all your music needs. Step outside into our fenced backyard and to the dining area furnished with six chairs, gas 4-burner grill, fire pit, and comfy hammock. Sit on the front porch and watch the family play in the expansive front yard with the available Giant Jenga, corn hole, croquet, bocce ball, frisbee, and more—all conveniently stored in the garage, ready for your enjoyment. BOATING, MARINA, KAYAKS, WAKE SURFING, PARKING: For boating enthusiasts, this is the ideal location. Just a stone's throw away from the community marina and boat ramp, you'll have convenient access to the sparkling Lake Norman waters. Feel free to bring your own boat and trailer, as our long driveway provides ample space for parking. Jet ski owners will also find a designated gravel parking pad beside the garage. Our long driveway allows for parking of 6 cars, or a boat/jetski trailer, but is only one car wide. No need to worry if you don't have your own watercraft! As a bonus, we provide two kayaks and two stand up paddle boards, along with life vests, so you can further immerse yourself in the beauty of the lake. Additionally, Lake Norman offers a wide selection of boat rental companies, ensuring that you can embark on fun adventures and explore the lake at your leisure. Explore the islands and hidden coves, cast a line and try your hand at fishing, or simply cruise along, immersing yourself in the beautiful scenery that surrounds you. For those seeking a more adrenaline-fueled experience, why not take a wake surf lesson from one of the local companies? Feel the rush as you ride the waves and master this exciting water sport. Less than a mile away is Stutts Marina where you will find food trucks every Saturday and can enjoy a variety of fun events and live music throughout the summer. No matter your preference, whether it's boating, kayaking, wake surfing, swimming, or simply unwinding by the lake, our property offers the perfect base for your water-centric adventures. With a wide array of activities to choose from, you'll have endless opportunities to embrace the joys of Lake Norman and create cherished moments that will stay with you long after your vacation ends. LOCATION Getting to our cozy KickbackCottageLKN retreat is a breeze. We are conveniently located just minutes off I-77, providing easy access and ensuring a smooth arrival. Travelers will find Charlotte International Airport (CLT) and the Kannapolis Amtrak train station both about 35 minutes away. PETS: Up to 2 fur babies are welcome with a pet fee of $50 per stay. NOTE: No pets on furniture or beds! There is a fenced in back yard, but make sure slat width works for your size dog. Please clean up after your pets with the shovel, rake, and dog waste bags provided. Other things to note Our long driveway provides parking for up to 6 cars, or even boat/jetski and trailer, but is only one car wide. Please refrain from parking or driving on the grass.
