Cosy studio room close to the coast of New Quay

Our studio, Cnwc yr Onnen, is a one roomed tiny space attached to our home in rural west wales, close to the coastal path of Cardigan Bay. Dating back to the 1840s, the cosy and characterful room without a kitchen has been lovingly restored to offer a King size bed, tv, kettle, toaster, mains powered cool box, table, fireside chairs, log burner, underfloor heating, hook hanging space and under bed drawer storage for your belongings. Private bathroom facilities are adjacent in the main house. The space The front door leads out to a south facing gravelled seating area enclosed by a low traditional stone wall, and a parking space for your car. The seating area is a lovely space to have morning coffee while you plan your day. The stable door at the rear leads to a small courtyard with views over the field behind. There is another private door off this courtyard which will take you into the lobby of the main house, where you can access your private bathroom facilities, completely secure from the rest of the house. The bathroom consists of a shower, wc and washbasin and the lobby also serves as an area where you can leave any washing up for us to do for you, as there are no kitchen or cooking facilities available at the studio. Guest access We also have an adjacent large paddock with a large picnic table with a tabletop barbecue, which you are most welcome to use for relaxing and outdoor eating. There is very little light pollution here so the paddock is ideally situated for stargazing During your stay We are usually to be found in the main house next door if you can’t find what you need to know in our welcome folder. You can follow us for daily updates on IG and FB at @cnwc_yr_onnen Other things to note The field to the rear of the studio is sometimes grazed by curious cows who may peer over the fence if they think you look interesting! Please note that private bathroom facilities are adjacent but separate to the studio, and located in the main house. Access is via your own private entrance - bring a pair of flip flops or sliders to pop on your feet for any trips to the loo in the night. There is no water supply inside the accommodation itself, only in the bathroom, but bottled water is provided for the kettle/drinking and we are more than willing to wash up any mugs etc for you. Apart from the outdoor barbecue there are NO cooking facilities available at the accommodation.
