Relax at this cute cottage by the lake. Stairs bring you to the private dock and shallow water access for kayaking, paddle boarding, or hopping on a floatie to relax in the quiet cove. In the evening enjoy a bonfire on the hillside patio, or sit on the dock and watch the sun go down. Stay at the lake or venture off to nearby hiking, golf, mountain biking, and everything else Vermont has to offer! The cottage is about 13 miles to Middlebury and about 7 miles to Brandon. 75 min to Burlington. The Beech House is situated on a hill overlooking the lake. Two sets of stairs will bring you to a private dock to enjoy any of the provided kayaks, paddleboards or canoe. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and a grill is provided outside as well. The living and dining area are open with a wall of windows overlooking the lake. The bedroom on the first floor has a queen bed, and a set of spiral stairs takes you to the open loft with 4 twin beds. There is one full bath with a shower/tub. We offer Wifi and a dedicated work space for those that want it. There is a Smart TV with Netflix and other streaming services that you can access with personal logins. There is a heat pump on site that is used for both A/C and heating the cottage. Guests have access to the whole cottage, patio and dock. There is onsite parking for 2 cars. Todd and Carrie are always available through the Airbnb chat or by phone and text. This home is on the very southern end of the lake. The neighborhood is a mix of year round owner occupied homes & seasonal camps. The northern end of Lake Dunmore shares the Lake frontage with a campground and is much more hectic than the south end. If it's peace & quiet you seek then head south to The Beech House! This house shares a driveway with 2 other camps that are immediate neighbors and there are several homes close by so late night noise is discouraged. Looking for some outdoor adventure? There are great hiking trails just 4 miles down the road from the cottage! There is parking at the cottage for two cars. Please note that this cottage is at the very south end of the lake. While the dock is great for fishing or launching a personal watercraft, it is not deep enough for jumping off the dock for a swim. You can take a floatie out into deeper waters for swimming, or there is a great State Park (Branbury) right down the road with a nice beach for swimming. This rental is for up 6 guests, please no extras, this causes too much strain on our sensitive septic system.
