In the heart of a neighborhood, welcome to our small home, Casita Amarilla. Home sits on a large lot on Banana Azul Road in Puerto Viejo near Sonora Jungle Lodge. Wake up to the sounds of howler monkeys and toucans. 1.5 km to the nearest beach and store. Fibre optic internet, air conditioning, a dip pool, Firepit, modern kitchen appliances, bidet, bluetooth speaker, two smart tvs, personal cooler and umbrella for beach days, beach towels, games and a safe fenced area for you and your family The space This small 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom home sits on 800 square meters and is about 1.5 km to the nearest beach, 3 km (2 miles) from Playa Negra. This space is best suited for a couple but can accommodate a maximum of four people. There is one bedroom that sleeps two, a full size futon that sleeps one and one queen sized air mattress. This home is brand new construction. We have air conditioning, two portable fans, fiber optic high speed internet, two Smart tvs, and new modern stainless steel appliances. The closest airport is in Limon, 40 minutes away. We usually fly into SJO and either use Caribe Shuttle ($57 USpp, 6 hours) directly to the home or fly from SJO to Limon on Sansa Airlines ($100pp, 40 minute flight). We can also coordinate to have a private driver pick you up from either airport. A rented scooter or ATV is recommended but you can use our free bicycles to get around. Headlamp is recommended as it can get very dark at night. Guest access Full access to the main house and yard. Other things to note Please be aware that this is Costa Rica and you are traveling to a tropical location, surrounded by nature. A bug or two could invade your space, although we spray a natural insecticide monthly and have sealed the house well. I have a hand vacuum that I use to gather any "friends" but usually an open door and a broom works just fine! Please save our septic system and throw all bathroom products in the trashcan, including toilet paper. Trashcans are provided at the top of the block and outside the home should you wish to empty the trash before departure. I usually take anything that might attract critters with me to throw in a the trashcans along the road to town. The window in the bathroom remains open for ventilation. Please keep the bathroom door closed while the air conditioner is on. Thank you.
