The Lake House

Welcome to the Lake House, a stand-alone house on beautiful Lake Cowichan, British Columbia. This lakefront cabin with dock is only steps away from the water. Experience breathtaking water views while relaxing and unwinding in this fully furnished vacation rental. The space Intended as a place for family and friends to gather, the Lake House is a sanctuary where you can either put your feet up, go for a swim, or take a ride on your boat. Breathe in the fresh air while sitting on your own private deck. Connect with nature and all it has to offer. This really is the perfect place to decompress and make memories with loved ones. Designed to enjoy lazy lake days, afternoon BBQ’s and relaxing dinners while overlooking the water. Enjoy a fireside chat while experiencing the best sunset in all of Lake Cowichan. The Lake House offers a main floor with a king size bed in the master bedroom, fully equipped galley style kitchen and newly upgraded bathroom and laundry room. The dining room overlooks the water and the living room is spacious and comfortable for lounging and playing board games. The upstairs offers a second bedroom with a queen size bed. The 3rd double bed is located at the top of the stairs landing which is an open loft and not a private 3rd bedroom. The Lake House holds a Maximum of 5 guests. Most standard amenities are provided for a comfortable stay. Guest access Please note: Shared dock and owners trailer on the property. Our extended family owns the adjoining property and they have access to the beachfront and dock. While using the dock, please make the left-side pergola/boat dock for your home base. This helps keep the right side of the dock available for extended family. The owners may be on site during your booking, but we maintain our distance and ensure your privacy during your stay and can be available should questions arise. We like to let guests know that there are outdoor cameras on the property for security purposes. During the winter months, there is no access to the dock. This is due to the lake water rising and the design of our gangplank. We have to remove it so it won't break. Other things to note On site: Diving tower Diving board Sinking Raft Boat Moorage (upon owners approval) Please feel free to bring your own water toys, SUPS, kayaks and life jackets as we do not supply these for safety and liability reasons. If you’re looking for a quick get away, we will try our best to accommodate you. Please message me if the calendar days are not allowing your booking even though the dates are showing as open.
