Hummingbird Cottage: 18th Century on 100 Acres

Humming Bird Cottage is a fully restored 18th Century Mill Worker's Cottage set on 100 acres. It offers comfortable accommodation for up to six adults and/or children. The decor reflects the rustic heritage of the building with exposed original beams, tongue and groove boarding and rustic furnishings. A large outside, covered deck provides the perfect way to sit and relax in the evening sunshine and take the peaceful atmosphere to the sound of the water falling over the mill pond dam. The space Originally built sometime in the the 1790s to compliment water powered Grist Mill located on the property, the cottage has been tastefully restored to preserve as much of the original character as possible yet provide modern comforts. The front door opens to a cosy living space with a large couch, coffee table and TV. The 1st floor also has the kitchen, 1st bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full-size electric stove/oven, a large refrigerator, microwave, dish washer coffee maker and kettle. We provide cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. The double french doors open to a large covered deck overlooking the back yard and our mill pond. The 1st floor bedroom doubles as dressing room and contains a full bed with a trundle bed underneath. The full bathroom has a toilet, walk-in shower, sink and combination washer/dryer. We provide towels, soap, shampoo and body wash. The 2nd floor consists of two bedrooms, both with queen beds. We provide pillows, blankets and bed linens. The cottage is equipped with free, high speed WiFi and built-in USB charging sockets. PLEASE NOTE: We charge a $100 Cleaning Fee per stay. This fee is REFUNDABLE if the you leave Hummingbird in the same state that you found it. Guest access 1st and 2nd floors Other things to note Guest has full access to Andelyn Farm's 100+ acre grounds. You can wander our grassland and/or wild flower fields, take the trails through our woods or sit by or take a boat/kayak out on our mill pond and observe the abundant wild life.
