Budgee Budgee Farm—33 Acres of Pure Bliss

Offering a unique escape surrounded by 33 acres of gum-lined countryside, Budgee Budgee Farm is beautifully secluded, but just a 10-minute drive from central Mudgee. Home to three uniquely rustic cottages, the property offers an unforgettable off-the-grid experience, allowing you to reconnect with nature. Perfect for heartwarming family reunions and festive get-togethers, each group will enjoy their own hideaway, with plenty of space to reunite and bask in the property's breathtaking serenity. The space ~Ikley House~ The largest cottage of the four, Ikley House offers spacious indoor and outdoor entertaining areas—the perfect hub for group gatherings. The inviting lounge room is thoughtfully decorated in modern country style, featuring a fireplace and oversized lounge. Cook meals in the charming, timber kitchen or out on the BBQ, with the large deck and backyard offering ample seating for all 20 guests to dine alfresco and come together around the fire pit. Five bedrooms sleep 12 guests, three set with queen beds, one with two singles, and the fifth ideal for children—with plenty of toys and activities, plus a single and queen bed. The primary and fifth bedrooms both have an adjoining bathroom, while the third bathroom features a shower and double vanity as well as an in-floor bath to indulge in a leisurely soak. ~Apple Tree Cottage~ Sleeping a total of eight guests, Apple Tree Cottage is the second largest on the property—featuring three bedrooms, soaring ceilings, wooden beams, timber floors and a stunning rod iron spiral staircase. Plush lounges invite you to flip the pages of your favourite book by the warm glow of the fire. You'll find another full kitchen, seating to dine indoors and ample outdoor space for barbecuing, hammock lounging and marshmallow roasting. Downstairs houses a queen room with a bunk bed and opens out to the verandah. The main bathroom on this level offers a combination shower and bath. Upstairs are two bedrooms with an attached ensuite, one with a queen bed and the other with two single beds. **A small colony of protected microbats lives in the ceiling above the room with two single beds. The space is fully sealed, so they cannot enter the house, though you may hear them at times. They’re harmless and simply part of the natural surroundings of this unique retreat. ~Black Springs~ Ideal for couples, Black Springs offers a studio-type set up with a comfortable king bed, cosy fireplace and oversized lounge. A stunning clawfoot tub encourages relaxing soaks after a day of exploring the grounds, while a shower allows for a quick rinse before hitting the winery. This cottage also comes equipped with a full kitchen, BBQ and a fire pit. ~The Gully~ Another two-sleeper, The Gully is one of the dreamiest of them all—featuring an extraordinary alfresco freestanding bath where you can bathe yourself in the beauty of the starry night surrounded by nature. Inside, pitched timber ceilings and a wood-burning fireplace encourage cosy nights at home, with a full kitchen to satisfy any late night snacking. The bedroom is a restful retreat, set with queen bed and offering access to the verandah through timber doors. Travelling to and from Budgee Budgee Farm is easy with plenty of parking on the driveway for 10+ cars and quick access to main roads. Prepare for a digital detox. While there is Wi-Fi, it cannot be used for streaming or downloading as it will slow speed dramatically and phone reception can be limited with some providers. Planning something special? Please note that some construction is happening about 500m away. It typically starts around 7:30 AM on weekdays. This should not significantly affect your stay, aside from some minor noise. Guest access During your stay, you and your group will have the 13-hectare farm and all four cottages on it to yourself. Note, the accomodation is separate, with each cottage benefitting from it's own plot of land offering ample privacy. You can easily walk from one cottage to another. Please make yourself at home! Before your arrival, we will also share a house guide that contains instructions on how to access the property, use certain appliances, and anything else you may need to know. We are pet-friendly—please add the number of pets you're travelling with and let us know about your furry friend at the time of booking so we can assess if the space is suitable for them.
