Off-Grid Zen Forest Den

Surrounded by forest and free from urban interference, enjoy sightings of local wildlife and forest flora. Visit beaches that are within easy driving distance of the Forest Den. Breakfast and a guided tour to a nearby waterfall are included in the cost of your stay, as well as drop-off and pick-up to/from Las Cuevas (5 minutes drive) and Maracas Beaches (15 minute drive) during your stay. The space The property is the private residence of a family of three. They live on the upper level of the house and you will have exclusive access to the room on the lower level which includes its own bathroom. The property is off-grid, with electricity supplied by a small solar set-up. It is unable to power motor driven appliances or heating elements. As such, no kitchen facilities, including refrigeration, are provided. Water is supplied to the property by a nearby spring. The bathroom is plumbed with running water and a flushing toilet. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the downstairs space and its front patio. El Tucuche, the second highest peak in Trinidad, is visible from the front patio. There are outdoor seating areas that guests are free to use and you are also free to walk around the property. During your stay The hosts will be available during your stay, to provide breakfast, a hike to the waterfall and information about local flora and fauna, as well as transportation to nearby beaches. Other things to note Enjoy quiet walks down to the river that runs through the valley and being surrounded by forest and its birdsong. Kitchen facilities are not provided; there is no refrigerator or microwave, for example.
