Three paddle boards, one sit-in kayak, and one sit-on-top tandem kayak can all be launched from the private dock. The dock is also a great place to admire the view of Parkers Creek, which opens to the Chesapeake Bay just north of Herring Bay Sanctuary or watch for the resident osprey, great blue herring and egret. Living room is outfitted with a sofa and two swivel chairs which can be configured for conversation or theater-seating to watch a movie on the 55" smart TV via your favorite streaming subscription. The large airy kitchen has a five-burner stove, counter-eating for up to six and a small breakfast table that seats four. Step out onto the porch to grill, or eat at the outdoor table which can expand to seat 12. Dinnerware and cutlery for up to 16 means running the dishwasher less often. Two sinks allow food prep to be a group activity without bumping into each other. The round dinning room table can be expanding from six to seating up to twelve. The library is a cozy space to read a book or catch up on your work-from-anywhere. The kitchen, dining room, library and first-floor master all have views of and direct access to, the porch, gardens and water. The living room opens to the pool deck. La Maison sleeps up to 10 comfortably. The large first-floor master bedroom has a king sized bed and it’s own seating area. En suite bathroom has a large walk-in shower plus a soaking tub, and two sinks. Toilet area and shower are equipped with grab bars (though not fully ADA compliant). The second floor has a second master bedroom with a king sized bed, and it’s own en suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The two queen-bed rooms, each with their own balcony, have views of the garden and water. They share an adjoining bathroom which has two sinks and a shower/tub. The Game Room can be configured as a hang out space or bedroom via the two, twin fold-outs. This room has its own temperature control separate from the rest of the house. Note: this room must share a bath with another second floor bedroom, which will require walking through that bedroom for access. The house has separate temperature HVAC and hot water heaters for each level, reducing disagreements about the proper temperature for sleeping, or who used up all the hot water.
