The space Palace: The 16th-century palace features on its facade a small pagan archaeological collection consisting of some fragments from the Roman past such as a small frieze, a piece of column with capital, a mask flanked by two cherubs placed under the kitchen window, and two columbarium tables dating back to the 1st century AD. Interior The apartment, about 120sqm, is located on the second floor of the historic 16th-century palace. Elegant and full of light, it features refined and comfortable furnishings that have been personally cared for by the owners. The apartment offers a warm and cozy atmosphere with precious paintings and period furniture. The floors in the living room and hallway consist of antique 1700s oak planking, originally found in an Umbrian church, others are of 1600s terracotta in the shape of a cross, while the terrace is paved with riggiole from the Giustiniani firm from the late 1700s. The real gem of the apartment, however, is the secret door that is located in the library and leads to the bedroom, creating a halo of magic and ... perhaps even privacy for children who like to sleep separately from their parents. Even the bathrooms have been renovated with fine materials such as antique Neapolitan tiles and crystal chandeliers that match the functional elements of the toilets, such as the precious faucets and Jacuzzi tub (not to be used as a whirlpool, however). The various architectural and furnishing elements are a reminder of the history of several art zones of our Peninsula. All rooms and bathrooms have antique doors from the 1700s from an old convent in Puglia, as do the doors in the living room, one of which contains a secret piano bar. Although it is located in the heart of Trastevere - a lively district full of traditions, quaint locales and restaurants famous for Roman cuisine - Charming Trastevere Apartment is particularly quiet as the sleeping area overlooks an inner courtyard from which the Church of S. Maria della Scala can be glimpsed. The kitchen features riggiole from 1800 in manganese red and white aluminum oxide color both on the floor and on the walls, (typical of old Neapolitan kitchens), an antique Tuscan cypress wood table from 1700 with a square shape for making excellent breakfasts, while the countertops are made of gray bardiglio that give a touch of class and functionality to the kitchen. The kitchen is also very bright because there are three windows and it is fully equipped, with dishwasher, microwave oven and all the necessary accessories. The apartment also has a washing machine and clothesline, electric coffee maker, flat-screen TV with cable channels and Netflix. All rooms are air-conditioned and in emergencies also have a back-up fan, and Wi-Fi is available to all guests.
