Oak Mountain Bedroom

The Cosy Mountain Bedroom is our snug room facing the mountains and patio. The room is adjacent to the dining room on the ground floor. Wooden accents and warm colours keep the room cosy and rustic. The room is ideal for two adults with a compact washroom. The first rays of sun peep through the window in the morning, and on a clear day one can get a glimpse of Nandakot peak. The ensuite room is a part of three bedroom cottage called Shantiniketan. The space Perched on the edge of a mountain surrounded by Cedar and Pine trees, Shantiniketan is a quaint mountain hideaway. Close enough to the motor road while still being secluded in nature by an unpaved trail, the boutique homestay offers a quiet retreat. Made from stones found locally in the region makes it blend in harmoniously with the landscape. Here at Shantiniketan, the days are filled with whimsical bird songs and verdant scenery, and the nights are adorned with twinkling stars and a sense of stillness. The three en-suite mindfully detailed rooms of the cottage are beautifully designed for a classic and contemporary lifestyle. With a cosy dining space inside the house, a discrete wooden cabin for recreation, a stone patio appointed with timber outdoor furniture, and a bonfire pit amidst a garden, Shantiniketan is truly a mountain home to call your own. Guest access The guests are most welcome to lounge in the wooden cabin for recreational purposes such as reading, writing, meditation or just a jolly session of games and laughter. The outdoor patio is appointed with wooden furniture under the shadow of wise Cedar & Pine trees, a hanging chair to swing with the cool breeze, and a garden with a bonfire pit. Breakfast is served al fresco unless the weather is unfavourable. There is a dining space inside the cottage with an ever growing collection of books. For those long rainy days, we also have a television in the dining room to enjoy some classic cinema or short gags! During your stay Hello there! I am available on the property and we share the home together. In case I am travelling, I stay in touch with the guests via phone calls or instant messages. Thanks. Other things to note Shantiniketan is a pure vegetarian, off-road, and a sustainable homestay. We are constantly thriving to be in union with nature. The homestay is approachable on-foot only, connected with the road with a 150 metre unpaved path. The walk is for 2 minutes or less, and our caretakers assist the guests with luggage and directions. We are truly a mountain homestay with practical and comfortable home amenities.
