Walking distance to the University and a 10-minute drive to downtown, the central location and excellent transit connections make it easy to get around! The space This cottage is a standalone guesthouse in the backyard of our classic Seattle Craftsman home. The cottage has an open floor plan for a bright and airy experience. The cottage features a garden patio, AC, and free laundry! Key features: - Queen bed with quality memory foam mattresses and linens (located in the main space) - Sleeping loft (accessed by built-in ladder) with full-size mattress and linens - High-quality showerhead and Beekman 1802 bath products provided - Living room area with compact sofa and 32 inch Smart TV with Netflix subscription included - Kitchen includes: fridge, electric cooktop (no oven), microwave, kettle, toaster oven, Nespresso coffee maker and pods, cups, plates, bowls, silverware, glasses, and wine glasses, pots/pans, cooking utensils, salt, pepper, basic spices, and olive oil - Dining table & chairs for 3, doubles as a very effective remote workstation. - Private, full-size washer, dryer, and laundry supplies are provided for your stay. The laundry room is accessed from the outside, just to the side of the main entrance. Guest access ACCESS AND SECURITY A lush garden path on the side of the house leads to your private cottage equipped with a smart lock. The backyard is shared, but we are very conscientious about respecting our guests' privacy. The cottage patio is next to our shed, which will need to be accessed occasionally. During reasonable daytime hours, we may also need to garden or perform other maintenance. PARKING Unmetered street parking is available. Other things to note - There is one step down from the entry door into the main space - The sleeping loft is accessed by a built-in ladder through a floor opening.
