Self check-in/check-out and no interaction with the host required! Cozy studio with King Bed, Fireplace, TV with wide selection of Dish channels, kitchenette and full bathroom. There are pockets of reception when traveling in Yosemite and there is more reception in the valley. When using AirBNB messenger you know right away that the message was sent and we are getting notifications in several ways: in the app, on the email and text (thanks AirBNB!) - so we know you are looking for us. Once we see your message - we will address it right away! If you decide to call, please text us first. Please text your name and check in date so we can find your booking and we will call you back on that number. We also live in Yosemite West so we can help you in person with anything! Live in the heart of Yosemite! Our park is big. You will need a car. Yet you can get to all the major nature wonders in under half an hour of relaxing drive! Do not travel with someone who is sick. PEAK HOURS RESERVATIONS (in effect through September 30, 2022): We’re excited to host you on your visit to Yosemite this summer. You may have seen that there is a temporary peak-hours reservation system in place for Yosemite National Park starting May 20, 2022. Because our vacation rental is located inside Yosemite National Park, you do not need to acquire a reservation to enter Yosemite National Park or to get to your lodging. Each vehicle entering the park will need the photo ID (or copy of photo ID) of the reservation holder. The entrance station staff will look up the reservation using the reservation holder's name. You’ll be issued a windshield pass and just need to pay the usual fee for a vehicle park pass ($35/car). AT THE GATE: All vehicles entering Yosemite National Park will be required to pay the park entrance fee. Upon showing proof of your reservation and a matching photo ID at the entrance station, you will be issued a vehicle permit to enter the park. TRANSPORTATION: There are no shuttle buses (Yarts) in Yosemite West. The closest stop for Yarts is in the valley and in Wawona. There are no Uber, Lift or taxi as well. As of today valley free shuttles are disabled. Don't forget your GROCERIES! The last stops for groceries are in Oakhurst (Hwy. 41), Mariposa (Hwy. 140), Oakdale (Hwy. 120 from Modesto) and Lee Vining (Hwy. 120 from the eastern approach to the Park - SUMMER ONLY !!!). There are two small markets approximately 25 minutes travel time from here, but are less reasonable and have a more limited selection (confirmed open and working starting June 13, 2020). ROAD CLOSURE: Please, be sure to call 1-800-427-ROAD (California Roads) and 1-209-372-O2OO (Yosemite National Park Roads) for most updated road conditions. CHAINS: IMPORTANT! In winter, EVEN WHEN THE ROADS ARE CLEAR AND THE SKIES ARE BLUE, it is mandatory that you carry tire chains in your car, EVEN FOR 4-WHEEL-DRIVE VEHICLES. If you do not have them, and you encounter an inspection roadblock, you will be turned back to buy chains before you will be allowed to proceed. Chains are often required on roads both inside and outside of Yosemite from November through March, less often in October and April, and rarely in September or May. Winter driving restrictions are enforced in Yosemite! Park Reservations: We guarantee park entrance for our guests even with the same day reservation - just present your Photo ID and go! Noise: Potential construction noise during the day 8am-5pm Weather: snow, rain, ice and wind may happen, yet Yosemite gets mostly stable and beautiful weather Kitchenette: mini fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine are provided. BBQ grill with Side Burner for cooking is available right outside on your deck. Mobile Communication: In Yosemite West you will have reception for Verizon and Sprint only. ATT will not work, unless you are in the valley. Internet: WiFi is slow and free data is limited to 300MByte/device/24hours. You can buy more data for couple of dollars. Consider to bring Verizon JetPack (or use your Verizon phone hotspot) for cellular internet Entertainment: 65' TV with Dish Satellite High Definition choice of channels. Service can be interrupted (ie snow on the dish). Consider to download your content when home on your laptop and connect it to our SmartTV through HDMI. Cooling/Heating: We have added window AC in your suite. You will have full control of it. The heating is central - send a message to adjust. In addition - The fireplace in the studio can be used for ambiance and heating.

Hi there! My name is Alexey. I am in my late forties, moved to US in 2015 for my work in Folsom CA. Few years ago we bought this home in Yosemite and put a lot of effort to get it up to our vision how perfect vacation home should feel like I was born in Russia and left to Israel right after the high school. Made my bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering in Technion (in Hebrew!!). I love programming and fine mix of Electronics and Software. Could not stop playing computer games during my school years and traveled a lot around the world whenever got a chance. There in Israel I met a wonderful girl called Nila. Nila was born in Ukraine and came to Israel during her school years... We have three kids together now. We also have a dog, Russian Spaniel named Nala and a cat, Maine Coon named Lol. I have been working for Intel Semiconductors for more than twenty years now and yet always wanted to have a thing of my own. Hosting is a first real opportunity to create a family business: a right mix of real estate investment, hard work to create a memorable experience for our guests, meeting with different people, hospitality and entrepreneurship. Nila and I are very committed to our success. Working hard together on our vision and goals brought us closer and helped to go through highs and lows. Needless to say we have learned a lot about hospitality business and ourselves. We will be happy to help you to make your Yosemite adventure memorable and make sure your stay with us is peaceful and comfortable.
