1840s SoHo Cottage
Description
This 1840s cottage in South Hobart (SoHo) has been lovingly restored and given a mid-century modern interior makeover. Staying here gives you insight into early settlers life but with a modern extension opening up onto a lovely north facing deck and garden. You have views of kunanyi/Mt Wellington from the bottom of the garden. A two minute walk to the Rivulet Track and creek with fish, platypus, wallaby’s, pademelon and other wildlife that appear mostly at dusk and dawn. The space Two bedrooms, two living areas, dining, kitchen, European laundry, and bathroom with walk in shower. A cosy living room in the original 1840s part of the house. Great for those cold winter nights, with a Moroccan rug over original floorboards, a leather couch, record player and velvet rocking chair. Modern kitchen opening on to a second living and dining area with north facing views to the garden. Perfect for summers on the deck and in the garden. Fruit trees including lemons ready for your G&T. Heating throughout keeps the home toasty in no time. Guest access You have access to the whole property and garden. There is a tiny house in the backyard that will be locked and no one staying during your stay. Other things to note I do have a fold out single floor mattress for an extra guest if requested. It can fit in the main bedroom or one of the living areas. Registration Details Exempt - Primary residence home sharing
