Take it easy at this unique secluded and tranquil getaway. Located at the bend of Cattail Creek, the creek wraps around three sides of the cottage. With your own dock and 2 provided kaykas, you can pop into the creek and go right out to The North East River. The space The Cottage at Cattail Bend has 2 bedrooms, one queen and one with 2 twin beds. One full bath with a walk in shower. Located at the very end of the road, we have a very private, water filled setting. A large yard with firepit, gas grill, picnic table give you plently of space to enjoy. Bring your boat, as the boat launch is close by. The cutest little out building has owners storage, no one stays in there….so many folks have asked, so thought I would clarify. The Log Bridge Park is just a few steps across our walking bridge and provides a small sandy beach area. There is also the log bridge that will take you into Historic Charlestown. There are 3 restaurants, a small general store, amazing kids play gound/basketball court and marinas within walking distance. North East MD is about 8 minutes away, and another water oriented town with many shops, restaurants, bike and SUP rentals. Minutes from Elk Neck State Park where you will find hiking trails, fishing, and mountain biking. Historic Havre de Grace, Hollywood Casino and Great Wolfe Lodge are close by. This sweet cottage is almost 100 years old, and is filled with character, charm and some old gal quirks. One minisplit heat and cools this quaint cottage, and fans are provided in the bedrooms, living room and screeend proch area. Electric baseboard heat is also located in bedroom & bathroom. Guest access The entire cottage and property is yours to enjoy. Other things to note 2 Kayaks and a canoe are provided, along with life vets. 4 beach chairs and beach towels are already here for your convenience. North East river is tidal, and when the rain or winds are strong, the creek will rise over her banks at times. We are surrounded by nature and water. Please be gentle on the surrounding nature and wildlife that live here. There are many turtles, bullfrogs, birds and sea creatures that you will come across, and make this cottage just so special to all nature lovers.
