Forest Cottage is a five minute walk to the beach, Ski Run Marina, many cafes, restaurants and pubs. Five minutes drive to the slopes at Heavenly or walk one block to a free shuttle. You'll love the private hot tub and urban cabin vibe. We are available for 30 night minimum stays most of the time, and nightly or weekly during the holidays and summer peak season. We have beds and bedding for 4 people in two beds. SLT Permit #012178, 12% occupancy tax for stays shorter than 30 days. The cabin is in an urban forest setting among a mix of full time residents, second homes, vacation rentals, time shares and hotels. The hot tub, outdoor grill and yard are for your exclusive use. We have driveway parking for 2 cars. The cottage is set up for 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. Bedding features down comforters with duvet covers and shams that are cleaned between guests. For extra kids we have a foam mattress for the floor, but bring your own sleeping bags and pillows. There are no extra blankets and pillows around the house. We're usually available by cell phone and have backup contacts you can contact in an emergency. The Bijou is an eclectic neighborhood of year round renters or owners, vacation rental homes, second homes, apartments, motels, and time shares. Sometimes vacationers disturb locals with late night noise, and sometimes the other way around. It is an urban setting, so a little give and take goes a long way. Heavenly is a five minute drive to a free parking lot, or a short free shuttle ride to the village gondola or California Base. The bus picks up just a block away. Uber, Lyft, Chariot and local taxis can get you to and from the casino corridor, though it is an easy twenty minute walk. The lake and Ski Run Marina are less than a third of a mile walk from our front door and the new shopping plaza with Whole Foods is even closer. There are many dining options within a short walk of Forest Cottage. Favorites include Riva Grill, Artemus Grill, and Cafe Fiore. Covid procedures include strict check-in of after 4PM and check-out of before 11AM. Our professional cleaning service follows the latest available protocols for cleaning and disinfecting. Please get vaccinated if you haven't yet, and follow guidelines and stay within your bubble before and during your visit. Changes are coming with South Lake Tahoe vacation rentals. We have a limited quota of nightly stays but available for 30 night minimums most of the year. Weekly and weekend rentals are available during holidays and the peak summer season.
