IG: @cielahaus A mid-century modern home with cathedral ceilings, carefully curated interiors and a warming indoor charcoal BBQ. It is the perfect getaway for a group of friends or family to explore the outdoors, farms, wineries or to simply enjoy tranquility. I hope you enjoy staying here as much as I loved renovating, curating and styling it! The space The house is a single floor home with a clean, mid-century modern aesthetic and a collection of custom architectural furniture and fine interiors carefully collected over the past few years. The floor plan is divided in three sections: The left side hosts 2 bedrooms, 1 laundry room and 1 bathroom. The center of the house hosts the common or shared spaces: double height ceiling living room, mezzanine [TV room], kitchen and the dining room with an indoor charcoal BBQ. The right side hosts 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The living room features double height cathedral style ceilings. You will enjoy a sectional sofa with coffee table ends, circa late 60's. You can also cozy up in front of the wood burning fireplace. The living room wall holds a Danish Cado wall unit with a few of beautiful natural plants that need to be watered once a week. The Kitchen comes with all the basics you need for making delicious meals. You will find a set of Massimo Vignelli for Heller dinnerware, a 8-set of Black ceramic plates and cups, Genuine teak cheese boards with glass domes and heart-shaped spoons designed by Miriam Mirri among other amazing kitchen and hosting utensils. We have added all Bertazzoni appliances: a full size refrigerator, dual range [gas burners and induction oven], dishwasher, a toaster, rice cooker, blender, food processor, coffee maker and french press for coffee. The " Mandell" dining table designed by Stephen Hynson Lambrecht circa 2000. comfortably seats 8. A glass top with a unique base with fine wood joints and one of a kind craftsmanship. A warm modern pendant globe gives the room that feeling of an intimate meal. The Charcoal BBQ: is part of the hearth of the house. This BBQ faces the dining table. I have provided all the basics for an exciting experience. You can buy fresh meats, chimichurri, pestos and fresh vegetables in one of the local butcher farms just 7 minute drive . I will share the details with you if requested. Over the dining room through the livingroom will find the Mezzanine : wall to wall carpet for added warmth and a comfortable and stylish Robert Haussmann for DeSede Sofa. Double doors inviting to a balcony facing to the street and on the opposite side a handrail that overlooks down to the living room and out to the lake. A 55" TV with access to streaming services, and a Yamaha Keyboard. You will find two bedrooms and one bathroom To the left and right of the shared spaces: The Taupe room: A curvy taupe boucle queen size bed with the softest washed cotton bedding. Plenty of closet space and dressers. Double doors open to a balcony with views to the pond where you will enjoy lounging in the cozy outdoor furniture. The green room: Two twin size beds by Flor. These two twin beds are designed to come together and create a queen size if desired. There is a full closet and dresser to store your belongings. The Terracotta room: One Full size mid-century style bed. The comfortable Saarinen red armchair and desk is a great designated workplace. The rainbow room: This is the kid's fun room! Ceilings are pink, walls are light blue and accents of yellow and purple accentuate the custom-upholstered full size bed. We have shared our favorite kids books and toys [tucked in the closet]. The White bathroom has heated floors, a rain shower head and handheld shower. The Green & black bathroom has a tub with double vanity and a rain shower head. The Laundry room has a full size washer and dryer. There is an utility sink and rods for hanging/ drying clothes if needed. An iron is stored in the laundry room. Well-behaved dogs are welcomed for an extra cleaning fee. We do request that they are kept off the furniture and crated if left alone. Guest access You will have access to the entire first floor of the home. There is parking for 4-5 vehicles. In the works: An electric vehicle charging outlet is in the works. Please inquire when booking. There is a pool in the works and this area is not to be used at this time. Please note that the basement is not included in this short term rental. Other things to note The driveway is plowed in the winter, but we strongly recommend AWD/4WD for getting around during the snow season.
