The Smoky Mountains is our favorite vacation destination, the place we feel most at home. After 17 years of vacationing here, we decided to build a cabin for our family to share with all of you! We love the peacefulness of Douglas Lake, and the easy access to so many attractions and mountain towns! Please be sure to check out my guidebook! The space Welcome to our Alpine Escape, a cozy cabin on Douglas Lake! Sip your coffee or soak in the hot tub while enjoying serene mountain and lake views. Far enough out to be peaceful yet convenient to Great Smoky Mountains National Park (25 miles), Sevierville (downtown 12 miles), Pigeon Forge (18 miles), Dollywood (15 miles) and Gatlinburg (24 miles)! Our cabin is only 2 miles off of main highway 411, and you can get to many attractions without parkway traffic! Living room has a 50” smart TV. Enjoy a fully furnished kitchen for preparing meals, including a dishwasher for easy clean up. Open shelving for easy access to dishes. Drainboard sink with granite countertops, electric cooktop and oven. 1 king bedroom on the main level with a 32” smart TV, open hanging space and shelves for storage. USB outlets on each side of the king bed with floating night stands. In the bathroom you find a rain shower with tile floor and metal walls, front load washer/dryer combo, hanging rack to dry clothes, boat hooks to hang towels, and shelves/countertop for plenty of storage! Up the narrow spiral staircase is a loft open to below. In the loft there is 2 queen beds! Stepping out to the front porch for a relaxing outdoor space including, charcoal grill, 2 log chairs, 3 person swing, 4 person hot tub with optional privacy screen, and a wood burning fire pit with log stump seats. Come make your best Smoky Mountain memories at our Alpine Escape! •Lake Access - Community boat launch 0.6 miles from cabin! • Outdoor wood burning fire pit (bring your own firewood) • Charcoal Grill & Utensils (bring your own charcoal, lighter, and lighter fluid) • Private Hot tub - drained, sanitized, and refilled after every guest departure! • WiFi • Smart TVs (bring your own password for streaming) •Wooden Board Games: sling puck, checkers, chess, tic tac toe •2026 Holiday Decorations including Christmas Tree: November 15 2026 - January 1, 2027! *NEW: Bathroom Amenities includes locked Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, and Hand Soap Bottles! We provide a starter pack that includes: Bathroom: 2 rolls of toilet paper, 4 unscented laundry pods Kitchen: 4 dishwasher tabs, 1 new sponge, 1 roll of paper towels, 1 small bottle of dish soap, 2- 13 gallon trash bags, and outdoor bear bin with 2 - 32 gallon bags/cans. Linens included are: All bed linens (4 pillows on king bed, 2 pillows on each queen bed), 6 bath towels, 6 wash cloths, 1 bath floor towel, 2 hand towels, 2 kitchen towels Guest access You will have access to entire space all to yourself! Private driveway with at least 2 parking spaces behind cabin. Plenty of space to park a boat trailer! Lake access is 0.6 mile from cabin at a community boat launch. No parking boats/trailers/vehicles at launch over 24 hours. You are welcome to park boats/trailers at our cabin. No tying off water-crafts. $100 fee to replace key, if NOT returned to key holder at cabin upon check-out. **Note: Lake levels vary throughout the year, the boat launch is non-usable for boat entrance October-April. The day before your arrival we will message you with check-in details. No face-to-face meeting to get keys, just arrive at the cabin! Other things to note •We have pest control treat the cabin quarterly, however, in the mountains daddy long legs, bees, stink bugs, and lady bugs are difficult to keep away. • The cabin is in the mountains! You may see or hear bears and critters. Leave them alone and DO NOT feed them!
