The House of Domaine GUIET is ideally located between Château-Chalon and Baume les Messieurs. Built in the 18th century, the property boasts 5 acres of parkland, a pond, a vineyard (producing around 1,500 bottles/year) and a breathtaking view of the listed village of Château-Chalon. The house has been renovated with a mix of antique furnishings and modern craftsmanship. It is perfect for a family, group or couple wishing to discover all that the region has to offer. The space The Maison du Domaine GUIET offers spacious and attractive accommodation, decorated with taste and comfort. On the first floor, the house comprises a large open entrance hall leading to the various rooms. A living room, a relaxation room (with musical instruments, including a beautiful grand piano; a secretary; ...), a dining room and a large renovated kitchen. The side offering the first living and dining room faces the south side of the house and offers a long balcony overlooking the house's grounds and Château-Chalon. On the lower level of the house, with a first access down from the dining room, you'll find a very large master suite, featuring a 180cm double bed, a desk, and a shower room with walk-in shower and toilet. This room also has outside access to the Domaine's grounds, allowing access to the suite for people with reduced mobility. Upstairs, you'll find 4 large bedrooms: - Bedroom 1, overlooking Nevy sur Seille: 140cm double bed, desk, sofa, wardrobe, decorative fireplace and ample storage space. - Bedroom 2, overlooking Nevy sur Seille, the park and Chateau-Chalon: double bed (140cm), desk, wardrobe, decorative fireplace and ample storage space. - Bedroom 3, overlooking the grounds of the Domaine and Château-Chalon: double bed (140cm), decorative fireplace, storage space. - Bedroom 4, overlooking the grounds of the Domaine: Master suite, with double bed (140cm), en-suite bathroom and WC, desk, wardrobe, decorative fireplace and ample storage space. - A smaller bedroom, between bedroom 3 and bedroom 4, simply accommodates a single bed and a crib. Ideal for a small children's room. On this floor, you'll also find a shower room with walk-in shower and WC. There's also a laundry area with washing machine and tumble dryer. Domaine GUIET boasts a 5-acre wooded park, a trout and carp pond, and a vineyard producing around 1,500 bottles a year. You'll have the opportunity to taste it... as a welcome gift. -- The history of Domaine GUIET The estate has been in the family since the 1990s. Dan (son of Jean-Claude GUIET, a spy in the French Resistance during the Second World War) and Carol, his wife, lived in Colorado, USA. At the time, both traveled to France in search of where Dan's father had lived during the War. As a result, during their various travels and discoveries, they fell madly in love with the Jura and this property. For almost 25 years, Dan and Carol renovated the house and outbuilding (often a guest house), spending months at a time enjoying, living in and renovating the house. Today, we Eric & Peter, Dan and Carol's sons, have the pleasure of welcoming you here to enjoy it for a few days. Guest access You have access to the entire estate, except for the small outbuilding, which is rented independently. Please note that you can rent the entire estate (main house + outbuilding). To access the property, enter through the gate next to the house, up the street from Chez Janine restaurant. Other things to note As Domaine GUIET is located in the heart of the village of Nevy sur Seille, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the tinkling of the church, very close to the estate's grounds.
