The last snow is just thawing on the side of the road. But that means we can look forward to it a little. To spring. Pasqueflowers and light green foliage encourage us to take walks and bike tours here on the western edge of Holstein Switzerland with its fields, forests and lakes. The space Your apartment "Land in Sicht" just outside Kiel is a rural home with a garden on the western edge of Holstein Switzerland. It can be rented with one or two rooms. The nature typical of this region, shaped by the ice ages, invites you to experience eventful excursions, bike tours and hikes with its many hills and lakes. Right on site, our holiday guests can embark on their tour of the 74 km long "Schusteracht" and get to know and love this unique natural and cultural experience. On more than 30 information boards, you will learn interesting facts along the way. In our small village, 15 kilometers south of the Fördestadt Kiel and 8 kilometers west of Preetz, only about 160 inhabitants live. Here our guests will find wonderful walks through woods and fields, plenty of good air and lots of peace and quiet. Bicycles can be rented for a one-time basic fee of 15 euros with a helmet. Children are allowed to play in the garden and can also use a large playground in the center of the village. Many lakes invite you to swim in the area. Depending on the destination, it takes about 20-30 minutes by car to the beaches of the Kiel Fjord or directly to the open Baltic Sea. In addition, Barmissen is also a good starting point for other beautiful destinations. Excursions lure all the small Baltic Sea cities along the coast of Flensburg via Schleswig and Eckernförde in the north to Lübeck in the south. And if you want to get to know more of the sea, you can experience the North Sea in one to one and a half hours and enjoy the wave bathing and a seemingly endless beach there (use the tide calendar). A special excursion destination awaits the friends of Karl May in Bad Segeberg. After a nearly half-hour drive, visitors will find a beautiful open-air arena where the play "In the Valley of Death" will be performed this summer, with Alexander Klaws starring as Winnetou (online reservation recommended). In the Kalkberg, it is also worth a visit to the bat caves. More information is available to the hosts in word and writing (flyer) at any time. They are also happy to give tips for restaurants on site or in the city. Guests can rest from their excursions in their cozy apartment, which is located on the upper floor of our Swedish house (stairs), which impresses with pleasant facilities and comfortable extras. Many beautiful games are also provided. In good weather, the whole garden can be used on comfortable loungers, at your own dining table with garden armchairs or at the barbecue area with a fire bowl for relaxation. Smoking is also allowed here. The brand new kitchen is fully equipped and invites you to linger at the round dining table with beautiful views of the garden, landscape and a small lake. The Mediterranean shower room features a rain shower, underfloor heating, Italian tiles and rustic wooden elements. A second, lockable guest toilet is also available on the ground floor. High-quality spring core mattresses ensure a restful night in bedroom 1. There is also a desk, high-speed fiber optic Wi-Fi and an HD TV. In the family room 2, up to three adults or two adults with two children/teenagers will find unconventional sleeping places, e.g. a French double bed of 1.20 x 2.00 m, a bunk bed of 1.40 x 2.00 m and a cozy alcove with a single bed of 0.90 x 2.00 m. There is also another workplace (alternatively a make-up or painting table) with fast Wi-Fi. Blackout blinds ensure undisturbed sleep and protect against heat or cold. With its two workstations and two dining tables, the apartment is also suitable for workation with several colleagues - or, in hot times, as a location for coolcation (a vacation in the cooler regions of Europe). Guests can rent the apartment according to their personal needs - with 1-2 people in the 1-room apartment with kitchen and bathroom as well as a wonderful view over the fields at the basic price of 69 euros/night. If you need more space yourself or come with friends or children, sign up for at least 3 people and look forward to a second large living room with several beds, a sofa corner with an electric fireplace and a dining table for up to six people. For each guest from the 3rd person, 25 euros will be added to the base price. Price example for three guests: 69 euros + 25 euros = 94 euros/night; for four guests 119 euros. For a family with more than two children, special rates are available on request. Guest access If the hosts are actually prevented from welcoming their new guests personally, an external key system is now available. Our guests also receive their own house and apartment keys and can access the separate one- or two-room apartment on the upper floor freely and independently of the host. Access is not barrier-free (staircase). Other things to note Traveling without a car: For guests who want to arrive by train, we offer a free shuttle service to Kiel or Preetz. You can rent bicycles cheaply on site in your vacation home. Cheap golfing: In the Kiel Golf Club Havighorst very close to us there are inexpensive rates for trial lessons in the midst of a uniquely beautiful landscape. In just 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes by bike you are there. Equipment is provided on site. Gateway to Scandinavia: From our location, guests can easily use ferries from Kiel to Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway and also Lithuania) as well as cruise ships. In the neighboring village there is a covered and guarded parking lot for vehicles of all kinds as well as a shuttle service to the ferry docks in the port of Kiel and to the cruise ships (with return transfer).
