NO CLEANING CHARGES! Acorn Cottage annex is in the heart of the peaceful countryside but just two miles from Sudbury and the local historic villages. Surrounded by fields and stunning views the wildlife is abundant . Excellent walks, classic pubs and 2 miles from Smeetham Hall wedding venue. We'll make your stay as comfortable and straightforward as possible. We're on site if you need us but value your privacy if you do not. A quality property ensuring that special country cottage experience. The space The annex adjoins but is a separate private space from our cottage. There is a small entrance hall for your coats and bags. Then into the kitchen which is equipped with a washing machine, electric oven, hob and a fridge freezer. There is a breakfast table and four chairs, a pantry, microwave, kettle , Nespresso coffee machine, toaster and everything we think you will need in a working kitchen. Our Aga is on through the colder months. The two kitchen doors open out onto an east facing patio with a small table and four chairs and stunning views of the local farmland and valley towards Sudbury. There is also a rattan seat set. The kitchen leads into the triple aspect sitting room with another set of patio doors to your private garden area. We have a rattan garden set for our guests use. The sitting room has two leather recliners, a tv with a firestick so you can log into your own streaming subscriptions. There is also a Sony internet, audio and video blu ray player. There is a log burner laid with a fire which you just put a match to and games, DVD's and books in the storage cupboard. The stairs lead up to two bedrooms and a bathroom. The main bedroom is very large and triple aspect with a king size bed. Lots of room for a travel cot. The second bedroom has a small double. Both beds are comfortable and dressed with duck and goose down pillows and quilts. The bedding is a minimum of 300 thread count. The newly fitted bathroom has a power shower and separate bath. The window is not frosted to make full use of the stunning views over the valley but there is a privacy blind. We provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The travel cot, high chair and stairgate are available on request. We will leave a range of toys , books and DVD's that are age appropriate for our little guests if you let us know who is coming to stay. We will pop in the socket covers and if its more than an overnight visit and we can easily put a temporary fence up to separate the annex garden from our own so little ones are more secure. The external photos show the front entrance is very close to where you park so easy access from the car. When the weather is unsettled we store the outdoor furniture just off the lawn and the cushions in a storage box. If the weather suddenly improves -just help yourself. Guest access Guests have a separate access to the Annex via key pad entry. There is room for two cars. Easy exit button for the automatic gates. Other things to note Our garden is not always separated from the guests garden with any fencing. This is for ease of maintenance. However, a clearly marked picture will show you the area of the garden relating to the annex for your private use and there is no need to stress. We do put our temporary fence in place for your piece of mind and to keep little visitors safe. We have a croquet set, swing ball and boules and a full size ping pong table available for you to enjoy. We have some outside children's toys we place in the garden for our smaller guests. Just ask when booking and they will be there on arrival. You can see our chickens and horses from the annex and sometimes hear the cockeral crow in the morning! We love hosting children but parents should note that we have an Aga on during colder months and the log burner when lit is a hazard. We value your private space but are available if needed.
