Guest suite in Gunnison

Fantastic, private 1000sf 1-br basement apartment located walking distance from the center of downtown Gunnison and just a few blocks from the RTA bus stop for free rides to Crested Butte and Mt. CB. Huge shared sunroom for storing and tuning bikes, skis and gear. The space The space available is our basement apartment/MIL suite. It is approximately 1000 square feet and was constructed using eco friendly materials including cork floors, concrete countertops, and rugs made from natural and recycled fibers. It is a warm, comfortable space in the winter with a queen sized bed in the bedroom and a sectional sofa in the living room. In the summer, it's a cool oasis when daytime temperatures soar. For groups with more than 2 guests, we have a cozy hospitality bed that can be set up in the main living area to provide additional sleeping accommodations. Additional bedding is provided to accommodate families travelling with children or groups looking for more than one bed. There is a full galley kitchen in the apartment with a 4-burner range, combination convection/microwave oven, full-sized fridge, toaster, Keurig, and all the necessary utensils and linens to make full use of the space. The space features a private bathroom, with natural soaps and luxurious cotton linens throughout. Please note that the TV does not have cable. It is an Amazon Fire TV with Hulu, Netflix, Peacock, YouTube and other apps available. Parking is never an issue, even if you're pulling a trailer. You're welcome to park in the gravel driveway (pull-through in the summer) or anywhere on the street year round. Guest access The space available for your use is our mother-in-law apartment. There is a shared entry that goes into a 500 square foot sunroom at the back of the house. We welcome you to make use of the sunroom to store gear or relax after a long day. The 1000 square foot basement apartment has its own door that locks to make it a private apartment space with its own kitchen and bathroom that is completely separate from the rest of the house. We invite you to make full use of the space. There's a fire pit out back for marshmallow roasting and stargazing in the summer, plenty of outdoor seating, as well as a patio and grill. Just let us know if you need kindling! Other things to note Smoking is prohibited anywhere indoors. Our pooches do not use this space, but well behaved dogs will be considered with a $75 pet fee. Unfortunately, we are unable to host other animals such as cats due to allergies. NOTE: If you are traveling with a dog, please send us an inquiry and tell us a little about your pooch before submitting a booking request. **Our cleaning service is paid a living wage and follows AirBnB's strict 5-step cleaning process. Sanitizing, cleaning, and resetting the apartment requires more than one visit and so the apartment is vacant for at least 24 hours between guests. **We donate 5% of our revenue to local non-profits. Donations are split between Rez Dawg Rescue and Six Points in Gunnison. Please note that a garage is being built, and the shared yard may contain a few construction materials and otherwise not look its best.
