The space Inside: You'll enter through a shared foyer and go straight down into the newly remodeled, fully private apartment. The living room has a cozy seating area and a smart TV to unwind after a day of adventuring. Adjacent to the living room, you’ll find a kitchenette featuring a microwave, portable induction cooktop + pots and pans, toaster oven, fridge and freezer, and French press and kettle to prepare basic meals. Whip up a quick breakfast before heading out to explore the city, or enjoy a leisurely dinner at the kitchen table, which seats four. The apartment features two comfortable bedrooms for a restful night’s sleep. One bedroom boasts a queen-sized bed and a dedicated desk space to catch up on work. The second bedroom can comfortably fit a single traveler or a couple in the full-sized bed, which is adjustable by remote! The bathroom is spacious and modern with a luxurious walk-in shower. There is also a brand-new washer/dryer (2025), whether yours is a longer stay or you just found yourself on a muddier hike than expected! Outside: Free and plentiful street parking is available outside the house. You will access the unit through keyless entry. Location: Our Baker home is a short walk from the vibrancy of South Broadway and the Santa Fe Arts District, where you’ll find an eclectic mix of shops, boutiques, and art galleries—or if food and drink is more your scene, you’ll find plenty of restaurants, breweries, bars, and cafes nearby. You’re also a quick 10–15 minute drive or Uber to Denver’s other hottest areas, including RiNo, the Highlands, Uptown, Capitol Hill, and Platt Park. If you don't have a car, our area is very walkable and RTD will get you most places you need to go. The Alameda light rail train station is a 20 min walk away and several bus stops in the neighborhood. No pets are allowed in the basement apartment, including our own. We love our house and our city, and we are so happy to share it with you! Because this apartment is in a basement, it can only be accessed via a flight of stairs. The landing has a 90 degree turn that may prove difficult for guests with mobility issues or difficulty/inability to use stairs. We have our space professionally cleaned to a hotel standard between each stay. To respect our welcoming neighborhood, please keep noise levels outside the house to a minimum after 10:00 p.m. Guest access You will enter through a shared front entrance with entrances to our space and the Airbnb. The full Airbnb apartment (living room, two beds, bathroom, and kitchen) are on a separate floor of the house and fully private and locked off. Other things to note While we can't always accommodate late check-out or early check-in, feel free to ask and we'll see what we can do! Same goes with storing luggage before/after your stay.
