The Merry Loft

Set in the heart of a small Cornish village, The Merry Loft is an idyllic, adult-only retreat just ten minutes drive from the coast. Stylish yet comfortable, the space is bright and airy, private and peaceful, yet just a stone's throw from the local pub! If you fancy exploring, The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a short drive away, along with The Eden Project and the vibrant harbour villages of Charlestown and Mevagissey. Or simply kick back, relax and sip your favourite tipple on the patio. The space The Merry Loft is a beautiful, recently renovated studio apartment with defined kitchen, lounge and bedroom areas, along with shower room/w.c. and private patio. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. Crockery, cutlery, glasses, mugs and other essentials such as Pyrex dishes, chopping board, cheese grater, scissors, tin opener, cork screw and bottle opener (of course!) are provided, as well as a tea towel, kitchen clothes/sponges, washing up liquid and kitchen spray. The breakfast bar can be used as an eating area or as a dedicated work space. Although there is no oven/hob, there is an airfryer which can be used for anything you would normally put in the oven - you can even roast a chicken if you fancy! There is also a gas BBQ on the patio. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk will be provided on arrival. The lounge area has a large L-shaped sofa which can be pulled out to create another double bed, if required. The wall-mounted flatscreen TV gives guests unlimited access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ as well as BBC iPlayer, ITVX, All4 and My5. The comfortable kingsize bed will be made up for you on arrival and towels will also be provided. There is drawer storage as well as a rail for your clothes. The shower room has a spacious shower cubicle with double-headed electric shower, toilet, basin and electric heated towel rail. Toilet roll, hand towel, shower mat and hand soap are provided. There is a storage cupboard in the eaves where you will find a table top ironing board, iron and clothes airer. This cupboard also provides storage for your suitcases and bags. Outside, there is a private patio with gas BBQ, table and chairs, ideal for soaking up the sunshine through the day and lit by fairy lights at night for an evening under the stars. There are even blankets provided to take off the chill! Merry Loft guests have a dedicated private parking space in our gated driveway. If you are bringing bikes/kayaks/surf or paddleboards, we can provide secure storage. The Merry Loft is a special place with a lovely vibe. It has been created with a great deal of sweat, tears and, most importantly, love. We are excited to be sharing it with guests who we hope will love it as much as we do.
