Spacious apartment overlooking the Glarus Alps

Welcome to our spacious 3-room apartment overlooking the Glarus foothills! In an absolutely quiet, sunny and yet central location above the picturesque village of Maseltrangen, we rent a well-kept apartment with about 80 square meters of living space. Enjoy a quiet break as an individual, couple or family directly in the Swiss foothills. The space The large room with a cozy living/dining area including a small kitchen is the centerpiece of the apartment. Here you can relax and sit together comfortably. In the winter months, the small fireplace with wood burning provides additional well-being. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a successful vacation. The two bathrooms are each equipped with a toilet and sink. The larger bathroom also has a nice corner bathtub. The spacious bedroom for up to four people is ideal for families with children. It has a pull-out guest bed (160 x 200 cm) and a bunk bed (each 90 x 200 cm). The other bedroom is equipped with a double bed (140 × 200 cm) and a desk. So there is also the possibility of doing office work in this apartment. Other things to note About the area: In the immediate vicinity, there are various excursion options and activities for all interests and seasons: Hiking: The Wengital as well as the Federspitz (1,865 meters above sea level) and the Speer (1,951 meters above sea level) can be started directly from the apartment. We highly recommend the alpine inn Oberbogmen on the way. In addition, various hiking regions can be reached after short car rides, such as Amden (about 25 minutes), Glarus (about 30 minutes) or the area around Sargans (about 40 minutes). Bicycle tours: If you love extended routes on flat terrain, the Linth Plain is the perfect place for you. But also various mountain bike tours in different levels of difficulty are available in the immediate vicinity. Water sports and swimming: Both Lake Zurich and Walensee invite you to swim, stand-up paddle, dive, windsurf, etc. in the summer months. In particular, we highly recommend the area around Weesen and Betlis on Lake Walen. Sporty and active in bad weather: The newly renovated Lintharena near Näfels offers a good excursion destination in bad weather with a climbing and bouldering hall, a sports hall and a swimming pool. City tours and shopping: Rapperswil-Jona on Lake Zurich and Glarus are beautiful destinations in close proximity. But also to Vaduz (Liechtenstein) or Chur it is only 45 to 60 minutes by car. The Landquart Fashion Outlet can be reached in 45 minutes. We can also particularly recommend the House of Läderach, which is located in Bilten and thus in the immediate vicinity. Winter sports: Various ski resorts can be reached in the immediate vicinity: small family ski resorts such as Amden-Arvenbüel, but also larger areas such as Flumserberger, Braunwald or Pizol are quickly reached. Attention: The apartment is only accessible by car. Public transport only runs to the village in the valley (approx. 400 meters below the apartment).
