Description
This 500 year old barn has been recently renovated into a stylish, modern living space whilst still retaining some beautiful historic features. Light and airy, yet warm and cosy, with wooden floors throughout, stunning exposed beams and an upstairs gallery in oak. Newly fitted kitchen, bathroom and ensuite shower room, this tranquil spot is the perfect place to unwind. Set in glorious AONB Kent countryside with superb walks and local pubs nearby. A memorable house which is anything but ordinary. The space This special property combines the old with the new: beautiful exposed beams in the walls and ceilings add character and history, whilst the oak flooring and limestone flagstones are brand new with wifi and underfloor air source heating throughout. The large sitting/dining room is spacious and flooded with light. The adjoining kitchen is hand built and fully fitted with an induction hob, microwave, oven and fridge freezer with plenty of drawer and cupboard space with all the essentials for cooking and hosting meals. The sitting area has a 6 seater corner sofa and a smart TV and there is a small separate study which can convert to sleep one extra guest if required in a single bed. The downstairs bathroom has a bath and shower and demister mirror and there's a utility room with a washing/drier machine, shoe rack and coat hooks. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms (one with an ensuite shower and loo) with wooden floors and weathered beams in both. They are joined by an oak gallery walkway looking onto a floor to ceiling south-facing window with a beautiful oak staircase and stylish ship's bell style lights. Guest access Outside there is a west-facing patio with garden furniture - the perfect place to watch the sun go down with a drink or a cup of tea. Guests also have access to the large shared 'secret' garden and the tennis court, and you can walk across the fields in all directions. Next door is Home Farm Oast, another recently renovated historic building with 4 bedrooms (sleeps 7). These buildings can be rented separately or together. Other things to note One well-behaved dog is welcome but please be aware that the fencing is not dog-proof. Please use the field opposite for toileting and pick up any poos afterwards. A maximum of two horses can be stabled in the field shelter and paddock (additional fee per horse).
